- First time I test drive an RM72-01! This is Richard Mille's latest chrono in quite some time. Initially when I saw it come out I thought that it was the predecessor of the RM011. Pictures do lie because immediately one I saw in person it was quite a different story.

With other watch youtubers I feel like watches are simply a product to make money on. It's just a business. There's no real passion for the watches themselves or a deep knowledge of watches.. It feels different with Eric. The passion feels genuine and I admire his people-person skills.

Very cool looking watch, definitely more elegant. I feel in the future this form factor for Richard mille will end up being more desirable compared to thicker ones.
More elegant? It's still a brick straped to your wrist. That's far from elegant.
Agree, the thinner ones will be most desirable, same like Royal oak vs Offshore

I owned a rose gold 67-01 ultra flat on a white strap and loved it. Bit sad I sold it now but I have always preferred the 67-02 models. Now this new chrono is a serious piece and the smaller more flatter pieces are the way forward in my opinion. They are going to gain in popularity as time goes on compared to the larger pieces such as the RM11

One of the rare instances the watch doesn't look good on you Eric. Agreed the Burnt Orange isn't working with the rose gold.
An RM I actually could wear. But I agree. A black strap would be much better. Would love to see it on a brown alligator strap.

Great video to watch market is went crazy it's insane how expensive they are now and I live in Chicago and we don't have any rolexes in the road store here on Michigan avenue or a Rolex dealer out in the suburbs didn't have any either I was looking

I'm generally not a huge Richard Mille fan, but this watch is much more interesting... As an average wristed individual, this actually looks like something people could wear without looking so oversized... also really appreciate that this is finally an in-house movement, if you're gonna spend this kinda coin, it really should be in-house, regardless of how much modification RM does...

Good review, I see these as a Miami kinda watch, like the AP, a playboy peice, it's of very little intrest to me even if I could afford one but this new version is quite attractive especially compered to some of it's gigantic bretheren.
Not really a RM fan but that's gorgeous i even like the Orange strap, could never afford the Brand though, but i can appreciate the work that goes into producing their watches 👌

An example of a timepiece that has a strong market value due to public relations. In this case Richard Mille is absolutely a genius. The watch is a bonus.
The first think I thought when I saw this watch was: another toy watch for ultra rich with questionable taste.
But your reviews, Eric, are always on point and entertaining. Regardless of how silly to some the watch you reviewing is.

I think most not steel watches would not be sporty. Precious metal always evokes class in my opinion. I do like the toning down the size.
Having to choose between Rm 67-02 , Rm 35-03 and Rm 65-01 which is a better watch and a better deal . Having owning a Rm 67-01 already

Not usually a fan of Richard Mille at all but that one does look pretty cool. However the hype around the brand n how much over retail they cost isn't justified by the look shape ect of the brand.
Richard Mille boutiques have iPads with pictures of their watches. A different retail experience.

Within 5seconds of watching this video I for once actually liked this RM, I'm usually an RM hater, overpriced plastic looking crap mostly, with someone else's movement which is an absolute crime for the money involved, but this looks better than normal. Still wouldn't buy one if I could afford it but for sure one of his nicest pieces, fits well for once. All the best from Glasgow Scotland Eric.
