She sings the trills as written and not run over them like so many Gildas nowadays do. Really great. I hope the Met gives her other main roles to sing.

She's the only true bel canto singer now before the public. Perfect trills, perfect understanding of legato and portamento, and perfect coloratura sung legato rather than aspirated, gargled, or punched. Her musicality often reminds me of Callas, in the way she sees the aria as a whole, from an aerial point of view. Nothing is rushed, nothing is stretched more than it should be, and everything she does just sounds "right." Opera definitely needs to be rescued from big vibratoed, heavy-assed, boring singers. At last here’s a young woman with not only a beautiful voice with strong technique & acting chops but something that would make the composers smile: great musicianship! Check out her vocalising with the written score. Only Callas before her could honour the composers with such meticulous attention to details.

Just saw her in Massenet's "Werther" from the MET in HD and she was magnificent. Gorgeous voice and stage presence!
