      As an actual exotic/highline car dealer, you would be shocked how many vehicles sell at an actual loss. I sold a McLaren MP4-12C a month ago at a $5k loss because the car sat almost a year and we paid too much. I've also sold 911s that made $20k because we were able to buy them right. Not all car dealers are shady and those two lines are not lies 9/10 times. I've personally sold 4 cars this month out from under indecisive people who I told there was interest on the car and they needed to leave a deposit and they did not believe me.

Ever since then knock on wood the car has been flawless it still performs amazing, as long as you don't have one of the first 1000 cars and the car has been looked after properly by a McLaren dealer you should be fine getting one because they are amazing value for the money.

    Wait... Where was this car before Los Angeles? I believe it is my old Kiwi bird. Will have to look at the vin but 362 sounds familiar. If it has the carbon cover on the engine deck lid, it is it. Never saw another MP4 with that from Woking.
    Just checked. 362 was correct. Originally purchased in Dallas, sold to Viper exchange in Tomball. You ever need all the original paperwork, records. Hit me up.

      You're precisely correct. I encourage buying reasonable mileage cars of any kind for that reason. If it doesn't have at least a few thousand miles a year, it's likely to be problematic. I don't mean drive it once a year 1,000 miles either.

      @McMedics 4 года назад

      Right, it's a McLaren, not an old Lamborghini, or a 10 year old Dodge. Steering boxes, computers, and electrical gremlins aren't common things on McLaren's. McLaren electrical gremlins are fixed by turning the car off and back on. BMW electrical gremlins are fixed by sending it to the crusher.

    I collect 100 year old cast iron frame antique typewriters. I stopped buying 100 year old "standard size" antique typewriters because about one in three are destroyed in shipping. I had a friend that drove an car shipping truck this was back in the 70's. He always managed to damage older cars, there was just no space tolerances. Just had a friend ship a museum quality replica WWI plane partially disassembled via truck to his customer....it was damaged during shipping.
