Following on from Part 1 where we spoke backstage with Jazzy Jeff at the Pacha Classics Party, we now join him poolside where among others he furiously scratches his way through James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Kurt Cobain all on the DJM-909, our classic battle mixer, complete with two channels of touch screen effects and industry leading turntablist faders.
Personally, I think that jazzy jeff is possibly the greatest dj ever. Effortless and perfect every time !! He is my favourite dj no question !
Wish you had been here in portland 2018 when JAZZY JEFF was here ,he was dope but, our local man/dj ...dj Wicked in my opinion ate him up, When you are behind the local cut up ,...You need to break him off ...just to say" nice ,but take a lesson!"

The Hypeman got the crowd into the set ....... its not all about the DJ its teamwork.....Jazzy Jeff is one of the baddest Djs of all time but his hype man is a makes his job complete on stage. Much respect to skills as well .....
The Emcee is named Mad Skillz. He's also one of the best freestyle lyricists out there.
My favorite DJ since 1988 when "He's the DJ, I'm the Rapper" came out. That album came out just 9 days before I turned 20 years old. Crazy how time flies. LOL!

Being from philly and listening to jeff when he was starting out, all I could say back then was this is amazing and he still is one if not the best DJ of all time. Yo Jeff, transform and roll out.
Sad that fake edm DJs have more recognition than real ones who actually put time and effort into the art.

@ DJdonvon If u were spinning/club dancing in the 70's or 80's u miss them more!! I've done the 90's too, but u gotta be in time of any of those to love those ,but realize you missed out on the other time periods!! Believe Me!! it's all a stone cold gas baby!!

@808kiker Nahh, he's doing what an MC should do. Hyping the crowd at the right time and with the right words. And Skillz has been performing with Jeff for years now so I think it's safe to say that Jeff likes it too ;)

JAzzy Jeff def got skills. More of a technical DJ but I still think DJ AM was better in terms of mixing songs together. Jeff has a lot of Technical routines but his actual mixing skills are ok. AM was def best of both wolds with great mixing and technical/scratching skills.
