Yes Chloe is absolutely right you can buy your rock sliders local and save yourself a bunch of money I ordered my rock sliders from white knuckle in Apple Valley California. Now my rock sliders cost $775 that was powder coated and Dom steel. They’re full diamond top plates powder coated an additional $200 bringing my total to $975. In addition I paid $375 to have them shipped from California to Alberta Canada I also had to pay an additional customs charge of $176 . So that cost me an additional $551. Sliders and skid plate are my second group of mods I'm happy with cause that extra body protection just gives such a peace of mind and actually saved my body panel when I pivoted into a ditch. I made the mistake of adding ARB LED fog lights into the bumper as while they're SAE compliant, their output is almost negligible, and I may go with the same ones you got. On board air compressor made my life so much easier as well, got the same single ARB compressor as you, they're great. I really love your trd wheels and tires. I want to put that same set up on my truck but I've been seeing a lot of replicas everywhere. A couple of my toyota dealership have told me that they are going with a different design so they aren't stocking those anymore. Is it possible to make a video on replicas vs OEM wheels ? And how to spot a replica? Thanks for sharing your taco build.
Those are great ideas, thank you! These TRD wheels are 4Runner TRD Pro wheels, not Tacoma TRD Pro wheels. They are changing the design soon and I believe will slow production of these
I've always wanted to try out Toyo open countries or Falken Wildpeaks. I think although BFGs have a flatter tire profile, their tread design is what makes them a little flawed in the rain.
I will likely stick with my current tire size (unless I buy another vehicle to daily drive--which I don't see myself doing in the near future). As for the specific tire, I'm not sure what I'll go with yet!
+1 on this, I do it regularly (did it on my old rav4 too and when I traded it at 8 yrs old in a salty northeast state, the underside still looked almost new)
@Chloe Kuo, how do you feel about your seat covers compared to the OEM leather seats? I would prefer the leather but wondering if the seat covers are worth the compromise?
So I think it comes down to preference. The OEM leather is the better-fitting of the two if you really are picky, but PRP seats look pretty OEM as well (and are customizable). In terms of feel, if you want something a little squishier, PRP is the way to go because of that extra cushion--the OEM ones are much stiffer but some people like that better. The OEMs also come with heated seats I believe, so they are better than PRPs in that sense. Hope this helps!

Love your videos Chloe!
can't believe I haven't seen that under-seat ARB compressor. Bonus: you won't collect junk you can't reach under the driver's seat
Where about upstate are you from?
What tire size do you have? J/k. 😀
haha Cody was like "what???"
Oem led headlights yo! So much better throw
I’ve been taking a close look at them!
@@ChloeKuo yep i just slapped em on my 2016. I always felt the headlights made the whole truck look outdated.
All good mods 👍
How are those seat covers in the heat? Phoenix gets a lot hotter than SD! 😂 I have a set mocked up but concerned about summer.
Honestly, they get a little hot. I rarely wear shorts so I'm fine, but I'd suggest either tinting your windows or getting a lighter color than black if you expect to be in hot weather. Hope this helps!
They are changing the design soon and I believe will slow production of these
@@ChloeKuo I know what to look now for my taco build. Thank you for sharing and helping out the taco community.
I've always been a fan of BFG's and their toughness. Is there an alternative that can handle rain and off road without compromise?
I've always wanted to try out Toyo open countries or Falken Wildpeaks. I think although BFGs have a flatter tire profile, their tread design is what makes them a little flawed in the rain.
@@ChloeKuo Perhaps a comparison test? Is it time to let another brand show what their made of?
@@tonymontana3742 perhaps not!
@@TNAWWE I'm still holding my breath
Will you go bigger the next time you get tires?
I will likely stick with my current tire size (unless I buy another vehicle to daily drive--which I don't see myself doing in the near future). As for the specific tire, I'm not sure what I'll go with yet!
You should fluid film your truck💯
+1 on this, I do it regularly (did it on my old rav4 too and when I traded it at 8 yrs old in a salty northeast state, the underside still looked almost new)
Are high clearance bumper & winch on your radar Chloe?
Not at the moment since I daily drive this, but I won't count them out in the future 😁
Do you notice any road noise with the KO2 tires?
A little bit, but it doesn't personally bother me. Definitely louder than stock, but not too bad IMO
Chole you rock more females should drive trucks so awesome
