I was actually thinking about making a visor shield for the glare from the back up lights. Glad to see that someone is actually making a working product for that issue.

Another mod I love and just installed yesterday is the Z Precision cup holder. It allows larger cups and water bottles like 1 litre hydro flask, and Simple Modern insulated flasks that just don't fit in the stock set up.
The LP blinders are a must!

I’m really glad one of the accessories my truck came with was the powered tailgate
Also I think it’s funny if you press the lock button from the driver seat it locks the doors and the tailgate but if you you use your key in the tailgate keyhole it will only lock/unlock the tailgate and not the doors

Great video. Though I've seen them all, it's a nice shout out to those companies. I do have two questions: first, have you done the a/c drain mod (apologies if you have), and second; how do you organize your time to do these mods/videos? I find that I struggle to get a mod done and typically have new mods sit aside for a month or two. I understand scheduling etc., but with two kiddos it's been hard to find the time.
Wouldn't it make more sense to just replace the vinyl pieces that protect your door pillars? I mean they are pretty much just a sticker/decal to protect the paint, right? Seems kinda odd to me to buy an expensive piece of film to protect another piece of film that is protecting your door paint. I'm new to all of this though so someone please let me know if I'm thinking about this all wrong.
Fantastic supporting small business. Instead of buying sliders and bumpers from store. I had mine custom fabricated from a local fabricator
I did that as well. In the case of sliders it was also just a lot easier since I could just pick them up and not have to deal with shipping/delivery!
Peeled that black sticker from my door pillars, and it's so much better to see full painted doors rather than that black sticker that looks so outta place.
It is worth noting the "Auxiliary Fuse and Relay Mount" is unlikely to work with a 2022-2023 TRD Sport 4x4 6MT since the tube between the shared hydraulic fluid reservoir and the clutch master cylinder interferes with the fitment of the product.

You should consider looking into fumoto drain valve, if u haven't. Makes changing oil much easier.
Video about the new fuse and relay box!! Tell us like we’re stupid. Most don’t have electrical engineering background.
Have you tried the aftermarket metal oil filter cartridge? I love mine after struggling with the oem one every 5k miles

Rear light blinders lasted about 4 months. Wouldn't recommend but they are cheap to buy again and just re-install

I am worried about theft and I did get the Cat shield. Now I am researching what is a good kill switch to install on the truck. I'm real old school and never had a remote switch to open the doors and the thieves have ways to access the remote signal. Any good suggestions for a hardwired kill switch?

Hi Ralph, congrats on your new Tacoma! Glad to hear you like the videos 😊
You can turn off the RF signal on your key fob by holding down the lock button and then pressing the unlock button twice. I believe hitting any button after that turns the RF back on and your remote key functions as normally. Hope this helps!

Do you know of anyone that offers LED rear brake light/turn signal bulbs that solves the problem of hyper flash without having to replace the complete unit.

I don't know if you noticed but there's actually 2 different cat shields on Toyota for some reason and I never could figure out what the difference was lol
The catshield has the same default in its design than the other ones. It uses standard screws, thus your would be thieve will come with an impact wrench and in less than 5 minutes will have unscrewed everything and then ... you are screwed!!!
All catshield I have seen so far have this vulnerability usually because their manufacturer are in the skid plate business, thus they reuse similar design methodology. But this time it is not a boulder they are trying to protect the vehicle from but a thief who has at least half a brain and tools.
Someone should come with a product which uses anti theft screw heads like there exists for the wheels.

Actually Millercat does provide security hardware to mount the side wings on and also provides a couple of security bolts that replace the factory bolts into the frame. They won't stop everyone but will give the average Joe without proper security hardware to remove it
