I still have my 6D. I have switched mainly to Sony but the old Canon has been a wonderful camera. I am mainly a nightscape shooter and the 6D really shines there. IMO
I think the fall-off is due to resolution. The R is 30mpx, while the 6D is 20mpx. Both are very capable and I do like the colors of the 6D slightly more....The skin tones of the 6D and 5D series are legendary.
I have a Canon 6D. It's surely the most camera for the least money. Just a nice little ordinary camera. You get a hell of a lot for the money spent. GREAT color, plenty of megapixels for 80% of things you might consider photographing, and so forth. You're a hobbyist? It's for you. You're a wedding photographer? It's for you. You're a sports photographer? It's almost certainly NOT for you.
The tests say that the dynamic range of the 6d sensor is 7.5 EV at ISO 100, and in the comparison I see that the Canon 6d performed better than the Canon R
I shoot on an Olympus em1-mkIII and completely happy with it 80% of the time. The 6D is perfect for that other 20% of time wide angle, more depth of field and low light.
They're both great cameras. To me, the difference comes down to a few things. The 6d is full frame, whereas the 70d is APS-C. The 6d has better specs, like the viewfinder magnification, low light ISO, color depth, dynamic range, and sensor pixel area. But the 70d has an articulating LCD screen, built-in flash, better continuous shooting, touch screen, and a better shutter life expectancy. And the 70D is usually cheaper. So, my take would be, if you're more concerned about imaging specs, and/or if you mostly shoot pictures, choose the 6d. If you want a camera with more features, and/or you want a vlogging camera, choose the 70d. You can't really go wrong either way - they're both pretty good. So if it comes down to the price tag, choose the cheaper option, and you'll still be happy!
The 6D has been with me since 2013 until now. I will continue to enjoy the real photography pleasure that the 6D brings to me in the future!

The contrast in the jacket is way better on the 6d
@@billb8262 I hadn't paid attention to the jackets, but you're definitely right!

I've heard good things about the Olympus em1-mkIII, but never actually used one. So it's not the best for those wide angle/low light situations?
I wish the 6D had dual pixel autofocus!
Big brother mark ii does.
Im still using the Canon 6d 👍 great camera
What do you mostly use it for?
It still a great camera with GPS include and double exposition option that some Canon R loss 🙂
Here in india 6d with 50mm 1.8f is sold for around 320$! Should we prefer 6d over 70d ? Which would be the better choice

😎 Cool.. . but i have a question what would you pick 6D or 5D Mark II in build quality and pro lvl?
@@ryzenbiel4145 Well....I still have my 5DMK2, and I love it! So there you go...
The 5D II has better build quality. The 6D is an entry level full frame camera. It's very capable, but the 5D II is built better.
The 6D is better in low light i guess
