Thank you so much, Bishop Barron. "Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening". When man listens, God speaks and when man obeys, God acts. I bring my hurts to the foot of the Cross and He transforms them into compassion for those who have hurt me. He also shows where there may be something for me to learn, from those verbal "arrows" directed at me. But most of all, He lets me know how much His love transforms every hurt. And each time, my heart can open a bit wider! Psalm 51🙏
I love the deep dive into this Scripture, thank you Bishop Barron for bringing meaning and life to the Word of God in a way we can all understand and appreciate. The many examples of Jesus speaking the Word and and world changes are profound, but none more than His beloved words spoken over the Eucharist. I wish other Christian denominations would allow themselves to accept the truth of the Eucharist that it is the real presence of Christ.
O Come Holy Spirit grant us Faith, hope and Love. Ps 80:9, Mt 21:42-43 O St. Gennaro, brave of faith in Jesus Christ, glorious patron of Catholic Naples, looks upon us benignly and accepts our vows; our faith and our hope, that today we service and bear much fruit of the Kingdom on earth. Amen 😇 St. Gennaro pray for us sinners!
Revelation 14:7 saying with a loud voice, “Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.”
3:21 - My father would beat me approx. once a month and almost everyday he would say that I would never amount to anything, that I was a loser and would always be a failure but I found solace in Christ Jesus and I was top of my class in college, I taught myself music and recorded CDs, I wrote and published a novel and a short story and I have a beautiful son to whom I have never given anything but love and understanding ...but the pain never really goes away except when I pray.
Purple Haze , Although we have never met, my heart goes out to you. You were NEVER a loser. You are certainly a WINNER now! God Bless You and your family. IESU BENDIGEDIG! (Wonderful Jesus)
Apparently we had the same Dad. But my beating were verbal beat-downs. I have spent my life, as Bishop Barron stated, proving my Dad wrong. Even though he has been dead since 1988, to this day I excel at all I do precisely because my Dad abused me and told me I would amount to nothing.
I want to salute your bravery for telling your story but I think you need ask the Lord for the grace to forgive your father. From your words I think you are still suffering and you need to let it go. As a child I remember a man who had robbed and was asked what he did think of those who had done this. His answer, let them to God. Not easy. No but the only way.
Mon cher monseigneur, as a linguist, how nourishing was this speaking. As you utter words, I can discern when your speaking is from the impressive theological engineer you are and when it is the Spirit speaking through you. Your body changes posture, the rhuthmos (flow) of your elocution moves differently, it is less studied, your eyes light up...and your hands come out of your pockets. And I feel reached. For those moments of grace, I thank God. Lévis
Man.... this really makes me understand the a Eucharist! This is amazing. (I’m a Jewish believer in Yeshua (Jesus). Not Catholic but I’ve been looking into the Church a lot lately)
Bishop Barron allows the divine Word to speak through him. How privileged I am to live in this era when I can hear the Word through this great and good shepherd.
Good morning Bishop Baron, Thank you for the way you unpack the word of the Lord. We hold prayer meetings every Tuesday. Your sermon simplifies the word and helps me to evangelize.
Terrific sermon from Bishop Barron. I was well aware of the understanding that God speaks reality into being by the Word, but had never thought to apply that to Jesus’ earthly words as well. As a (Catholic-curious) Lutheran, the application to the Eucharist particularly caught me. We affirm the real presence also, but simply as a matter of faith because Jesus says so. I’d never seen the connection made between God’s creative Word and Jesus’ words at the Last Supper made before, and the effect is breathtaking.
O Lord, May I always speak respectfully, truthfully, speak with God's love to all my neighbours, sisters and brothers of the human family 🙏 by Your grace O Lord, fill my soul, fill all souls with Your Holy Spirit 🙏
Come Holy Spirit, teach us Faith, Hope and Love. Ps 85:4: Mt 12:50 “Christ has something in common with all creatures. With the stone he shares existence, with the plants he shares life, with the animals he shares sensation, and with the angels he shares intelligence. Thus all things are transformed in Christ since in the fullness of his nature he embraces some part of every creature.” 😇 St. Bonaventure pray for us
The Bible bluntly declares, “This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against your magic charms with which you ensnare people” (Ezekiel 13:20). Think of it this way. Our lives are filled with uncertainty and danger; none of us knows what the future holds for us.
We who have received His testimony are sealed by faith that He is true.(John 3:33) Those who do not believe on Him(John 3:18) are condemned already and will be fooled and deceived to receive the mark of the beast. Rev 13:16-17 Gal 3:28 Rev 14:8-11 Rev 14:6-7, & 12 Matt 25:9 We either believe on Him or we do not when the two witnesses are overcome(Rev 11:7-15, Ezek 4:6)
Few things more beautiful than seeing Catholics learning and living the Scriptures, by studying its ancient historical roots, reading with the great saints and thinkers, and addressing and transforming the culture with the Word.
God bless you Bishop! Please understand how much we need you and love you! I am considering applying for you opening in Irving! You are so in touch with thousands of us.
One of the absolute best arguments for the Real Presence I have ever heard. Bravo! Truly a beautiful and CREATIVE sermon. Let all who have ears hear these fruitful words. Amen and Amen!
Thank you.very much Your excellency, for this very profound and enriching insight . I had come a long way in following your ministry ; it amazes me ,how it started with a "seed" : a simple idea of posting some faith related videos on RUclips . It surely changed the way many people used to look at Catholicism , including myself . I often think about the mind blowing review of the movie "The Matrix " which you produced some years ago ; I remember that you used the plot of the movie , To explain the dogmas of Original Sin and of the Life, death and Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Please keep praying for me ( as you once told me you would ) , it seems to be a long way ahead for me before entering the seminary ... God bless you Paolo
Come Holy Spirit, teach us Faith, Hope and Love. Ps 65:2, Mt 13:8 St. Christina is the patron saint for all those struggling with mental illness. We ask for your astonishing intercession. 😇 St. Christina the Astonishing pray for us
Thanks Bishop Robert for the Word of God coming through you. Your words are powerful for informing (teaching), then for bringing our spirits into contact with God (praying) and also for inspiring and firing us (evangelization). God bless you always
I thank God for you, Bishop Barron. And I thank Him for your intellect and your ability to interpret God’s word for your fold. I’m so grateful for your use of social media to reach so many. Thank you for all your efforts! May God continue to bless and keep you. 💗
Bishop Robert Barron I really enjoy hearing your sermons - but I miss your daily mass. May God bless and keep you so that we hear many of your sermons - as you touch many of our souls. God Bless you and your Minstry

The word of God is speaking the world into being, it is still speaking to our heart even if we do ont listen. But if we do, our life willl be transformed. Powerful homily God bless you, bishop Baron Michèle from France
Words of the Holy Father: "The sower is Jesus. With this image, we can see that he presents himself as one who does not impose himself, but rather offers himself. He does not attract us by conquering us, but by donating himself: he casts seeds. Let us ask ourselves if our heart is open to welcome the seed of the Word of God with faith. Let us ask ourselves if our rocks of laziness are still numerous and large; let us identify our thorns of vice and call them by name. Let us find the courage to reclaim the soil, to effect a nice conversion of our heart, bringing to the Lord in Confession and in prayer our rocks and our thorns. In doing this, Jesus, the Good Sower will be glad to carry out an additional task: purify our hearts by removing the rocks and the thorns which choke his Word". (Angelus, 16 July 2017).
When God speaks to your heart He sets it on fire and the whole world and all its attractions and lures suddenly shrink into nothingness! This happens to me every time I listen to Bishop Barron speak - because he reveals the absolute Divine truth. What a blessing! Thanks and Praise to Our Almighty God!
Thanks Bishop for the homily...eagerly wait to hear you every Sunday ...and share it with all my Catholic brothers and sisters...yes the message must go far and wide.....word on fire🏵...

Almighty and Eternal God, King of Kings and Lord of Lords: graciously turn your gaze to us who invoke You with confidence. Bless us, citizens of the United States of America; grant peace and prosperity to our Nation; illuminate those who govern us so that they may commit themselves to the common good, in respect for Your holy Law. Protect those who, defending the inviolable principles of the Natural Law and Your Commandments, must face the repeated assaults of the Enemy of the human race. Keep in the hearts of Your children courage for the truth, love for virtue and perseverance in the midst of trials. Make our families grow in the example that Our Lord has given us, together with His Most Holy Mother and Saint Joseph in the home of Nazareth; give to our fathers and mothers the gift of Strength, to educate wisely the children with which you have blessed them. Give courage to those who, in spiritual combat, fight the good fight as soldiers of Christ against the furious forces of the children of darkness. Keep each one of us, O Lord, in your Most Sacred Heart, and above all He whom Your Providence has placed at the head of our Nation. Bless the President of the United States of America, so that aware of his responsibility and his duties, he may be a knight of justice, a defender of the oppressed, a firm bulwark against Your enemies, and a proud supporter of the children of light. Place the United States of America and the whole world under the mantle of the Queen of Victories, our Unconquered Leader in battle, the Immaculate Conception. It is thanks to her, and through your Mercy, that the hymn of praise rises to you, O Lord, from the children whom you have redeemed in the Most Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ. I appreciate what you're saying, but I don't buy the distinction. The Spirit doesn't work around us but through us.
Bishop Robert Barron
Now, here lies a subject I would love you explore in more depth. « How the Spirit works: through and not around us ».

God Bless YOU! Always!
