This video was very helpful. Most videos talk about these things, but don't really show them or discuss what they're actually doing. As a noob to the painting hobby, I really appreciate the time that went into this.

I snorted audibly and got a dirty look when I saw the whole Tabletop Minion Crew surprised with the acknowledgement. Good on ya' boys!

Thank you so much for this video. The comment about thinking about painting as actually applying micro-texture with each brush stroke...I can't even. There are times my painting came out bad, I couldn't figure out why at the time. Little did I know I was laying down torn silly-putty and then tried to fix it. If I ever get to take a miniature painting class Sam is the way to go.

One tiny thing that would help-when you do the fade out and fade in while you wait for a thing to dry, could you add an overlay that says “5 minutes later…”, or whatever? The reason I say this is that I'm quite aware that one of my own problems is impatience when I'm trying to wait for a thing to dry, and I think a little bit of subliminal encouragement so that my brain goes, hm, five minutes seems about right might, well, nudge me in the right direction!
