Why didn't undervolting reduce power draw? When I undervolted my 6700 XT I dropped around 80 watts of power, and the GPU was a lot quieter, but here, the fan rpm, power draw, and temperatures are basically the same, just with higher clockspeeds.
I applied undervolting based on GPU core temperature rather than power consumption. The purpose was to lower the temperature of the gpu core, but we didn't set a separate power limit because it already showed enough low temperature.
Any idea about the new version (from January) :ASUS TUF Gaming Radeon™ RX 7800 XT OG OC Edition" (it has an OG in name, it's 2.9 slot and about 1.7cm less width, 1.2 less height I think, 2mm longer, slightly different look, doesn't come with GPU support/holder thingy because it probably doesn't need it, otherwise 100% same stats and features). I mean....would smaller radiator and/or more cramped fans - maybe closer to radiator - would that make it a worse choice? Did they get better at making it? Could they be they using worse silicone now because reviews are in?

Using two PCIE cables is the recommended installation method.

I'm using it with a lot of satisfaction. Although the size of the graphics card is burdensome, it's satisfying because it works quietly under load.
