Do the mind games ever end: Canons rush into straight to air Into Ground army(mostly nasty blinks stalkers for max haras ofc) into secret expand into fake thrird as a stage for ambush into canon rushing the 4th into a secret gaint air force that is kept secret just until the moment the opponent just found enough courage to think a victory is still possible. And then at the end it is clear to the opponent that it was all staged, and victory was never attainable. Florencio is like the Wachowski brothers of Starcraft 2, maybe with a hint of Palpatine in their :)
If the zerg wanted to expand so badly then why did they always try to expand on florencios natural base locations

i'm actually amazed at this match,the whole time florencio forced the builds on the other side, while already building the counters for those units, 4th dimensional chess going on.
The guy really didn't have to build corruptors or lings though
I've watched a lot of his games this is his MO. Usually cannon rush to void ray to force corrupter or hydra. Stalker to counter corrupter or oracle to counter hydra. When zerg swapped to brood with roach hydra he was ready with more void. If zerg had tried to go muta to counter void he would have massed phoenix. BTW he only goes warpgate when he wants to build templar in the back of his base to hide them.
He always anticipates the counter. I also love how he continues to cannon expansions by building the cannons just out of sight range of the hatch and times them so they finish seconds after to deny the cancel. Playing against him must be all sorts of frustrating. I think his diet is all salt.

Florencio is... not good at StarCraft II, but he is a master of 8head 5D chess which allows him to warp time and destroy the mind of his opponent and win in unprecedented fashion.

clearly florencio usually doesn't goes warp gate is because he has such an incredibly godly warp gate strat, that he is waiting until the most important game ever to use it.

MindGrapes did a lot of not losing for a long time. But then he neglected scouting and sit in his base with big army and that is when Florencio turned the table from his initiative to his advantage. Before Flo took third base MindGrapes was in arguably better position, but he neither blocked Florencios expansions near his base nor tried to attack. I am honestly not sure what he expected to happen when he left his opponent whole map.

I think warping in structures shouldn't generate shields as quickly while still building, protoss is obviously king at offensive architecture...

they build just as fast. they just have reduced health gain time, where a comand center would gather health 1.5x (i think) faster than a nexus.

Well that foremost raises the question of what differentiates a high level player from a low level player. Most would agree that those terms aren't really absolute categories, but specify the ends of a spectrum. Furthermore it is not equi-distributed system, because the vast majority of players are placed on the low level side.
Now it needs to be answer on which part of the spectrum Florencio is to be placed. For this the definition of high level player is needed. This can be achieved by analysing the gameplay of high level players.

@@TheGuruStud There's no record of his beating of AlphaStar, and it was most likely not AlphaStar final, but rather, a lower level agent. There IS, however, record of Flo being utterly trampled over by Scarlet 3-0.

Im new to Florencio. How did he aquire the moniker Sewer Mermaid?
It was given to him by Pig, who casts him regularly. Liquipedia has an entry about it, I believe. Something along the lines of "He swims in filth, and drags you down into it".
All zerg needed to do to win that was not sit his army in the natural and actually position it to fight Florencio's low tech army.
You assume the Zerg player had anything resembling a mind left at that point.

hmmm who knew that florencio is smarter then half the pros in the pro circut lloll any pro in the circut would have went mass ground or imortals which are completly useless against zerg in my opinion
@Tegridy Farms imortals are so eazy to counter, a couple of lings and boom, or ravengers, if you have 5 imortals they will do nothing, while voids would always be the better choice because theres only 4 units that can actually shoot up in the zerg army. so that forces zerg to have to switch to a long tech tree to get to things like vipers or infestors which take so long to make also takes up alot more supply,
@Tegridy Farms actually not really, avoids are ment to bring out a counter from zerg which leaves zerg defenseless against air until vipers or investors, but sure if you want to fight fire with fire go ahead it's always a 50 50 chance instead of actually having a hard counter to zerg, but hey what do I know, I'm only a ex grand master player, back I the day, I mean 5 voids vs 5 immortals who wins against a ton of kings and roches

I love almost all your content Winter, but honestly, this was very boring to watch. If you covered the names, I would have believed this was a random game between 2 Gold players.
Spoilers if you haven't watched the video yet:
Florencio did an awkward cannon rush at the start that wasted a lot of resources for no particular reason (the way he blocked the ramp was interesting, but wtf were those 2 cannons on the low-ground for?) and then didn't follow it up with anything. He just started building inefficient units with no upgrades, sat on 2 bases for no reason, and dragged the game on way longer than he needed to. Yeah Florencio does weird stuff like that, but there was no rhyme or reason to it that I could see. It wasn't like that game where he won by building only widow mines; there wasn't any spice or flavor to his bad plays, they were just bad.
It breaks the opponents brain and stops them from expanding. He then gives them false hope by not seizing the advantage. He stockpiles units, then lures the enemy in (that's why he made the nexuses, he didn't really intend to mine from them) and blasts them into a fit of salty rage within 2.3 seconds.
Flo specifically designs these screwed up builds, so the opponent has no clue what is happening. Did you see how afraid he was to move out?
