Adassa, star in Disney's 'Encanto,' surprises 2 local kids at school for Feel Good Friday

EastIdahoNews.com and Ashley in Idaho Falls and Pocatello are partnering to honor people in our community for Feel Good Friday. Every week, we surprise someone deserving of special recognition.
Adassa, the voice of Dolores Madrigal in the smash Disney film 'Encanto,' was in eastern Idaho this week for a performance with the Rexburg Children's Choir. We heard about two special kids at Central Elementary School in Sugar City who love the film and love Delores.
Adassa agreed to surprise the kids and sing the smash hit 'We Don't Talk About Bruno' with their classes.
It was an amazing visit that was a lot of fun. Watch the video in the player above!

Adassa was recently here for a fan convention and while I didn't get a chance to meet her, my friends who run the convention said she was absolutely wonderful. It's so nice to see her doing something like this for the kids. Very cool!

This to me is the greatest Feel Good Friday yet. How cool was that, having Adassa come all the way from Nashville to surprise Brooke, Cameron and the entire class. I really think they should’ve given all the children in the class at least in Encanto doll or something like that because I feel like they probably didn’t fully understand what was happening for those two special children.

I think what they did is really special but at the same time I’m really concerned about the other kids in the class who didn’t get anything special. They got the concert but they didn’t get anything special delivered to them but the other two kids did so if that age do they understand why

So nice but not really. Should not have gave 2 kids presents and not the others. That hurt those young kids. Could have done all the singing and then had the 2 go to the office or something. Lol at the end the one girl she was moving those candy canes away from that boy wanted to make sure they were for everyone LOL. Merry Christmas.
Yes I agree. They should have been given those presents seperated from the other kids. It would have been different if it was a prize of some sort or any logical reason for the different treatment. They are tought to treat everyone equally and now two of their classmates get nice presents "just" for being the special needs kid in a classroom.
Thing is kids do need to learn that sometimes presents aren’t for everyone and are for only specific people. It won’t hurt them in the long run. I do think that people seem to be very entitled these days.
@@50sRockChick Whilst that's true, given the context it will give the kids a crash course in discrimination (some kids will get special and better treatment due to factors). It will also sow resentment.
