Hey Ivo: Great recommendations! One tip of my own that came to mind as I watched: So as to better avoid nicking the eye rings, put those "stored" treble hooks through the eye frame not the eye ring. Love your helpful channel. Cheers.
No kidding about the longevity of braid. I have an old Garcia 5500 spun up with original 50# Spiderwire from the late 90s and it is still as strong as can be and it sits rock hard on the spool.
I like to run my braid to a swivel and use the rod length as my leader lasts for a few good trips that way i take a foot off each time I go out. Thanks Ivo love the thunder braid
Do what works for you, I prefer the fg knot. It took me a lot of walking away from my rig to figure out. But I like a 15-25 ft leader for trout fishing. It's smooth through the eyes and I cast for distance.
Nice tips sir can we use 12 inches to 18 inches leader on braided line as our main line for carp fishing? Or we have to use more longer leader line. What would u say for carp fishing with braided line same time carp won't see our line too
@@thundermistlures actually when I join leader line to braided line longer than 18 inches so it may obstacle through rod guide while casting and eventually it may spoil or damega rid guide.
@@AnubhavAnkitGeorge try using this uni-knot to tie your leader line to your mainline - also, the thinner the line, the easier it will pass through the rod guides ruclips.net/video/Aw5hl0Lynlw/видео.html

I would use a leader line of at least 18 inches at a minimum - carp get spooked very easily :)

Fresh line and especially knots are critical.
