Agree, only way to get LCK or even LPL player is when he can give value to roster, not like oh he is cheap lets take him, if you don't have talent in EU equal that is when you should get import, but really salary difference of EU player from regional leagues, on same lv of skill with academy LCK... and to be so much higher. Boys should reduce their appetite

That isn't necessarily true. Long time imports bring a league up if anything. Corejj and Impact are staples of the NA league they've been there so long that they are drafting their own teams and training their own players. And in the past it was Bjerg. Those 3 have done as much for the league as Doublelift or any other greats.
Imo it just depends on the longevity of the players. If they choose to stay for a long time and become apart of this league than they bring whole new perspectives and experiences which the other players can learn from. Jojo credited Inspired to teaching him everything he knew about mid jgl synergy. Inspired has done more for NA LoL than a comparable jgl like Spica has. Yes there are players who come and contribute nothing but steal play time like hans sama or emenes, but theres tons of imports who do great for the league. I think its something thats keeping western LoL alive if anything.
Although Riot would never do it, one way to fix this is to have Promotion / Relegation back for LEC. You could expand the teams to 12, keep the 10 franchised spots, and have 2 slots for ERL teams. You could have a tournament after worlds every year which decides the 2 organisations promoted to LEC for a year. Kind of taking inspiration from Valorant. This way you will always have European rookies coming through into LEC from academy.
once you have franchises and you sell spots you can't ever go back unfortunately, you could only do it paying back the teams which is just not doable

Years ago, when I first started league I was just watching random pieces of clips from proplay because I never really understood the teamfights and the proplay in general, it was too complicated for me. But I've seen some clips of Jiizuke and that guy was insane, so sad that the only LEC italian guy completely disappeared after I started watching proplay. Italy is so lacking of players even though it's a pretty big nation.

A hall of legends exclusive skins not tied to teams is amazing. Faker gets an Ahri exclusive skin, Uzi can get a Vayne, Bjergsen Zilean, Caps gets Ryze for a throwback to his Baby Faker days etc etc. I think there is A LOT of money there but picking the right players would be extremely difficult.

He already has an Azir Skin (tech with Easyhoon but tech not lol) and Zed, Leblanc is definitely up there besides Syndra and Orianna as his best champions. Ahri isn't his best champion but it's been his most sought after by not just him but the fan base. There is tons of Ahri fan art out there in Chinese forums and Korean forums over the years.
I think its ok to have foreign player from different region as long they are relevant to keep the marketing on wheel and they can influence each other for better result

I watch a lot of CS and pros tend to stay around a lot longer, I reckon mostly cause there is always something to play for, even in Tier 2, but in league unless youre top 4 team in europe youre playing for nothing. Youre just playing the same teams infinitely in the same studio over and over with no real chance to make an actual tournaments, and if youre not even in LEC youre just playing for EM. I would retire too if that was me, not worth spending all my life grinding for

KC? It's been said a lot that they want to stick with Targamas which I can't for the life of me understand, other than some esoteric bullshit "loyalty" reason. Because his play has been absolutely atrocious the past 2 splits and the mic check videos show he provides little to no value to the team in regards to comms and information.
I personally lost all respect and good will towards KC after they went clown mode and kicked Yamatocannon. Anyone with 2 working braincells could tell that they did poorly DESPITE his best efforts. This last split showed just that, the issue is the players not the coach.
Ofc we can't know behind the scenes stuff, but from everything publicly available it was a massive mistake. Them willing to scapegoat and drop someone whose been pushing, supporting and vouching for them is something I find absolutely disgusting. I wish nothing but the worse for the organization.
In the span of 2 splits they fucked Yamato, Bo (The only guy actually trying AND SHOTCALLING in a second language) and Upset (by keeping him with that fraud Targamas). Granted, Upset hasn't been top level as expected and what's known of him, but the whole situation is a mess
if they want to sign they should take both of Rekkles and Smash

the "consolation rp" its very similar to something wild rift has. wild rift doesnt have LP, has marks, and they give us "bravery", with i think 500 bravey you can lose a game and you dont lose a mark, you win more bravery, almost full 500 when you report and someone actually suffers a restriction in chat or to queue ranked for something and all that.
Nothing against imports but I do worry how it could affect academy. I think LCS has a lack of homegrown talent because they don't think the career is viable, it would be a shame if the same happened to Europe.
If for each Korean there would be a rookie, like kc did, it would be fine for me.

i have the feeling some LEC teams want franchise some players at all costs. like DL or Bjergsen or even Faker to gain much more money with them. Unluckly no LEC player is good enough (besides Caps maybe) to be franchised like Faker, DL or Bjerg.

Importing LCK players just hurts the LEC long term and we are seeing that now.
I understand why the LCK players want to come over, they are either young players from Academies who can't break into the main team or players who are near the end of their careers and again can't get into a team.
No Good LCK player is ever going to come to LEC.
By bringing these players across you are just stopping young talent developing.
You then complain there isn't enough young EU talent and continue to bring LCK players over and now you have a vicious circle..
I don't think thats a fair generalization. Of course a significant amount of imports are like that, but theres tons who genuinely want to create something. Look at bjerg, corejj, and impact. They've all done so much for NA just as much as doublelift. Corejj legit trained half the rookies that are playing in lcs rn.

The more imports, then chances of developing hole grown talent lessens until you end up in postion where many teams are now in, completely reliant in imports.
Teams are saying that they have no choice but to get imports, well it's their fault for not giving and developing hole grown talent.

By importing god tier players into the LEC, EU based players have better competition to practice with and against. This makes the entire league better including the rookies and amateur players. NA has significantly more imports than EU and they don't have a problem fielding home grown talent and rookies. Half the best players in the league rn are brand new NA talent and most of them credit their positions to imports. Corejj trained Yeon and Eyla into LCS caliber players, and Jojo credits inspired for teaching him about mid jgl synergy and early game decision making.

The League in EU is dying because of imports, just like in NA
You're insane if you think NA LoL is dying because of imports. Impact, Corejj, Bjerg, have all done as much for the league as Doublelift. They foster new talent and bring the level of play up. Its not about imports its about quality of imports. Find a player who is world champion caliber who wants to build their own initiative like corejj and he'll train your rookies for you and raise prodigies. Or take a chance on a young rookie who can't get a shot in his region and he'll become a franchise player like bjerg.

I think Canna is better than how hes most recently played. I think Canna's highs are nuts and he can probably still play at that level. I think Canna is probably going to solo run toplane in the LEC for like the start of the split. I think teams will be able to adapt and play around that at some point, communication difficulties will lead to Kcorp failing again, and Canna is going to get ALL of the blame. The one non-white non-french guy on the team? Yeah hes fucked, its going to be worse than his last year on DK and there he was actually a problem a decent chunk of the time. The kcorp fanbase are not going to be pleasant for Canna.
