I kinda liked Skullgrim. Yes I agreed the tank was half baked but I do liked the look of robot mode. Sorta like the Minotuar in a maze vibe he was given off. Like if you like add brown paste to the skull to make it minotuar like!
With how modern leaders work, I’m surprised they were even able to justify the solidity of Transmetal Megatron. He’s larger than nearly every leader I own, yet also HEAVIER when I’d expect him to be hollow. They could’ve crapped out on the wings and made them tiny, or completely exposed the underside of the neck, but no, they made a glorious masterpiece who I feel is most worth the price of any figure I’ve ever bought.
Fun fact: The Skullgrin mold (Heavily re-tooled) is being re-used for the Double Targetmaster Quake, completing the trio that Spinister in Siege & Needlenose in Legacy: Evolution started. Now I'm waiting for the Autobot Double Targetmasters (Scoop, Quickmix, and Landfill) to appear in a future toy line.
I find Skullgrin's brick mode rather endearing if I'm honest, like he's trying his best and no one dares tell him he's done a bad job at the whole 'robots in disguise' thing.
Out of the few I got from this wave, I actually prefer Point Blank over Skullgrin. Agreed that Pointblank is mediocre at best, but at least he has a for the most part cohesive vehicle alt mode that properly rolls and serviceable bot mode. Weakest point are the weapon, and minimal arm articulation. Skullgrin almost one ups in bot mode though the transformation is obnoxious , and I hate how the rubbery plastic horns aren't pinned, and one will constantly fall off. Q/C issue more than the figures fault. I do really like his weapon assortment though. Best thing I can say about Starscream is the folding backpack/canons that allow for better head articulation. Other than better leg articulation don't see much pf an improvement over the original. Haven't gotten TM Megatron but given he's still available at decent prices may get him. The Dragon alone in how demonic it looks gives me Darksouls/Elden Ring vibes. Never knew Deadend was a retool of Dragstrip. Makes sense as they both have the same arm gimmick engineered into them.
18:55 so I have Cryotek from the original TM2 Megs and the transformation is largely different. There’s a bit where the wings flip and the inside middle of the torso does this whole vertical rotate thing and everything sort of clashes together until you finagle into whichever mode you’re going for. It’s hard to describe but it has that same vibe as the original Tigerhawk in there there’s no solid body “chunk” like most beasties. Everything is swinging around like mad until you arrive at the next mode. Edit: where this has the robot arm fold into the chest, the original had a the dragon crotch as a mounted shield for robot. Yes, his dick is a shield.
I was able to transform Crankcase once and only once and now I can't get his stupid little middle part to sit just right to get everything to line up in vehicle mode and I hate it but the vehicle was fun that one time
I hope they don't do our boy Blurr dirty with Pointblank...it'd have to be a huge retool to fix that. Also, he's the only Autobot or good guy in the wave.
I don’t hate Point Blank but I am tired of seeing him and year 1 legacy stuff on at my Walmart and granted I don’t own Armada Starscream yet or that Galvatron but I own everything else and I’ve never seen a Legacy United or Evolution on Walmart shelves except once. They have no problem putting up the Walmart Exclusives but I just need to go to a different store or something. But luckily they are having a clearance on the Earthspark and ROTB stuff so maybe finally they will actually have new stuff although that Star Raider Line is coming out so hopefully they actually follow through
As always, I enjoyed this video, but you could have saved yourself a lot of time by making the video 3 seconds long and saying "These are fine for what they are" lol

I don't think I've ever seen another person who genuinely likes Dead End or Skullgrin. I thought I was the only one.
Whilst DeadEnd wasn't the most posable figure for his size class. I think he looks incredible especially with his torso
Well Skullgrin is getting retooled into G1 Quake so maybe the mold will get some more love

Love skullgrin and all his pretender brothers, still mad I missed out on bludgeon
Skull grin in his normal mode is a fine figure
What I did for deadend was rubber band his legs together while in car mode, then dunked him in hot water until it cooled
Sounds almost villainous

I love Skullgrin so much, and the fact Hasbro turned this guy into an amazing looking Quake is insane
This Megatron is EASILY my favourite leader class ever. His f*cking leg articulation is unrivalled.

Some of these figures I haven’t even seen in stores
You transformed Bomb-Burst wrong. You're supposed to rotate his waist, not his legs. Makes for a more solid alt. mode.
Thank you.
Not sure if I've always been wrong or if it was just this once ngl
@@TheSheepWielder is always cursed to transform the alt-mode wrong.
Where's the lie?
I blindly handle these guys out the box - makes for a funner puzzle
You are now obliged to do the same with studio series 86, you have just played yourself
Oh no, a chance for more content, whatever shall I do 😭

I almost got run over by a guy in a car that looked like you in Elgin Asda last weekend 😂
Wait, THAT WAS YOU?
My brother thought he recognized you! Wow 😂

The problem with bomb burst a Skullgrin is they should have been Voyager Class. Is iguanas standing in for Submariner?

Same as Wave 2 tbf, with Elita (not counting scaled down Core class characters)
Calling dragon Megatron “biblically evil” when he was quoting the Cybertronian Bible to serve his purposes is kinda genius

That would be slanderous to say Pointblank is 'fine'

Hated that al.ost all G1 autobots was cars even thouse that was in cybertron or different olanets in space

Pointblank becomes good after a few upgrade kits… if that means anything to anyone
