Just to add something else to the evo-fusion pov: Hasbro didn't want to make an actual gimmick yes, but they marked Evo fusion as a marketing ploy for stores to stock their toys, answers their questions of "why should we hold this product what makes it different from the last"
gm sheep man by the way there is a way to transform Skyquake's chest without the arms being floopy, its pretty easy too! im sure there's a tutorial somewhere
Out of all of these I think Needlenose was the only one to surpass my expectations. Simple, but fun transformation, great tolerances, and articulation. Personally prefer both targetmasters over Pointblank's dumb snub nose gun. Glad I'm not the only one who feels Hotshot is only marginally better than Starscream, and disappointingly Cybertron Hotshot. The only thing he literally does better is roll in vehicle mode. Personally prefer Crashbar over Scrap hook though I only have the Axlegrease variation. It's a fun little Deluxe with weapon storage that actually works to complete the alt mode. Skyquake is great, but after getting the transformation right in a misinformed step that feels like it'll make it or break it I have no intention of turning him into a jet again. Still really want the Dreadwind though.
I never undertood the Needlenose hype (Transformation is basic and plane mode is your typical jet bot facing down) until I got him on a discount. His articulation is THAT good and he kinda got "less is more" approach with his transformation too!
There's something darkly amusing about Hasbro managing to beef it with Hot Shot _again._ Like, this is a character who has had a No Ifs, No Buts _good_ figure like twice, and one of them was a Legion-class. The original was heavily compromised by his gimmicks. The Energon one was an Energon Autobot so it was fecked by needing to be a torso and pants for the combining feature. Cybertron/Galaxy Force was perfect in both sizes, no notes. Animated got cancelled. Universe/Henkei was a step in the right direction but he's got _issues._ Then we got the Legacy one and the car mode is the wrong shape and the robot packs all of the kibble into his legs when it didn't need to: Hot Shot's a bulky guy, and then they slimmed him down by having all of his mass coagulate in his shins. They did him again in worse colours but with Jolt but charged a ridiculous price for it, and now there's the Legacy United one who is just the Cybertron figure but slightly worse. This man is _cursed._ By far my least favourite of Neo-Armada, even without my massive bias in favour of Starscream. The only way to improve on Needlenose (Besides bigger wings) would be to give him a V-tail or two-fin arrangement so the nose section could be folded up behind his head instead of hanging down like a tail. He's that good. I've never been able to transform the Scraphook/Axlegrease mold without the forearms popping off the hinges. Made that figure way more disappointing than expected, I got Axlegrease around the same time as Gamer Barricade, who is objectively dogwater, but I had significantly more fun with him. Lio Prime's head is... something. I dunno, I saw a meme comparing him to Chimera Nina from Fullmetal Alchemist and now I can't look at him without hearing "Ed... ward" so that's the entire figure ruined. The Takara one with the retooled cartoon-accurate face looks pretty nice though. I must've dodged a QC bullet with Tarn, mine's pretty solid. Got to give him a good shake to make his legs flop, and his arms stay locked in perfectly for me. My only complaints are the shoulders and the absolutely terrible lightpiping. That cover art for MTMTE #7, of Tarn standing in the rain with his eyes blazing is _so_ good, but Hasbro decided to give him lightpiping, and some of the worst lightpiping ever, so now he just has dead black voids from 90% of angles unless you jam his head up a lightbulb's arse. My kingdom for painted eyes. Skyquake is amazing. Absolutely fantastic figure, I don't think they could've done better. I _would_ have liked the F-35 he turned into in the show quite a lot (I do love that aircraft), but the F-35 is relatively small for a jet (The original RotF Deluxe Breakaway is actually more-or-less in scale with Studio Series Starscream in jet mode), so him being this hulking alien bomber while the F-35 remains the purview of littler guys like Breakaway is fine by me. He works great as this hulking brute of a Decepticon who towers over even Megatron. Poses good, transforms fun, the only thing they could've done better is the sword.
The area which the hinge on Breakdown and Wildrider has way too much material in a certain area, unscrewing his torso and giving a few deep cuts fixes it without any visual impact
8:57 Well...stranger things have been a thing: Ransik, the big bad from 2001's Power Rangers Timeforce, could draw a bone styled sword...from a portal in his *KNEECAP*. A bone that don't look jack shit like it originated anywhere near the knee. 10:32 Beast Wars II is where Lio Convoy/Leo Prime (and Legacy United Tasmania Kid) hails from. Surprised they didn't do a reshell of Kingdom Rattrap to be that frog guy Diver. 11:56 Ohhhhhh, this fucker's always been a kibbletastic thang. That's just how he was designed. Even the original toy from way back in nineteen ninety-something did this. (Probably the cleanest one we ever had was the Target exclusive Leo Prime that was a new head repaint of Cybertron Leobreaker...)
I think you just got a bad QC Tarn? Sure my copy is not perfect but the tolarance is alot better than yours like most of the time, the gravity doesn't pull the legs down unless I shake him and his arms can stay upright.
16:20 it's actually mistransformed. I had that issue initially until I figured out how to transform the nose cone properly.

The sponsorship joke had me chuckling hard
I could see the shin guns on the Junkion as “holdout” pistols
Last stand guns?
Hell yeah, I'm in

Leo Prime/Lio Convoy is from Beast Wars II. Fun show
Fun, a lil unhinged at points but fun
I absolutely hate the shoulder joints on Tarn, it just doesn’t look right
Honestly yeah
I didn't want to harp on them since they speak for themselves but this method of doing shoulders is fuckin abominable to say the least
@TheSheepWielder are you gonna get ss86 optimus prime?
hes in cmdstore rn
p.s: good to see u again

Oh fuck yeah, Daddy! EVO FUSION!!!
Let’s go
4:18 my Hot Shot keeps the tiny star saber to
2:52 this killed me 🤣
The area which the hinge on Breakdown and Wildrider has way too much material in a certain area, unscrewing his torso and giving a few deep cuts fixes it without any visual impact
Wow the only figure i have from this wave is breakdown
damn man, and apparently people are still having trouble finding him.
@chriscarpenter3370 I got him on ebay for 40 bucks lol
@@lumityforever awesome, mine wasn't that much more

What's Towline gotta do with this tho
@TheSheepWielder his cousin's in this video that means he gets called out
Hope you're having a good day
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
HELL YEAH IT’S SHEEPY TIME
Need you to do more reviews completely hammered. So it echos the sheer disappointment and emotional damage to your soul.
Is it weird that I think no breakdown has surpassed the rotf scout?
I don’t even think kids cared about evo fusion. What a useless gimmick smh
Retailers fiend for gimmicks. The only reason they're there. And to bring back old gimmicks

7:25 skullgrin's legs can do that
Wait, they can?
@@TheSheepWielder yes, not even joking,
I don't think they can?
@@TheSheepWielder i tagged you on twitter with a photo attached dwb
Not accurate but I kinda wish Hot Shot’s engine gun could split into two pistols to go with the line wide gimmick
My mood, just forgot to say it
@@TheSheepWielder understandable. My line of logic is basically the engine is just mad mad enough that it could’ve been an extra Junkion part
