**CORRECTION** I did some additional testing after reinstalling the game, and i was able to exceed 250FPS in COD. I think the point still stands that a lot of games do have internal FPS caps, and it can be tough to reach those framerates. But Call of Duty does support those higher refresh rates.
Refresh rate has absolutely nothing to do with ghosting, a 1hz OLED will still not have ghosting and 540hz LCD still does. How ignorant doe one have to be to think a 480hz OLED is not as clear as 540hz TN? and why should I watch a review from someone who clearly knows nothing about monitors?
I was trying to find a way to demonstrate the motion clarity, because there is a difference in motion vs 240hz oled i typically use. I'm pretty new to monitor reviews but i appreciate the feedback.
@chengong388 I’m watching his video for the first time and I think he put together his views well together. If you prefer a different source/channel you can continue to do so rather than being negative to others.
OLEDs still have sample and hold blur, and so the difference between OLED and LCD motion clarity is really not that great, especially at higher refresh rates. I highly doubt that even the most pro gamers would be able to tell between a 540hz TN and a 480hz OLED in terms of motion clarity.
I will tell you as I came from months of using the Alienware 4K 240Hz OLED (AW32225QF) for over 8 hours daily that going to the Sony m10s is NIGHT AND DAY better despite being 1440p resolution. The sharpness of this new panel despite not being glossy like the AW32225QF is very crisp. The clarity of 480Hz even in games where you may only get 300fps it still looks and feels SUPER responsive and text clarity on moving objects / names is waaaaay clearer. The m10s is my new primary for FPS games just because of the snappyness and ease of seeing objects in quick motion - makes it super easy to track and snap!
@@lepari9986 I used a monitor with that specs for a while, and i got used to it. I use it as my second monitor right now. Currently on a 1440p 27 inch 240hz oled, the response time/motion clarity and deep blacks are great. The performance i get at 1440p is pretty good too compared to 1080p, but to me, the small bump up in resolution is not worth it. I'd rather have the extra performance of 1080p.

I have a 240hz/480hz dual mode OLED and honestly the difference is not as big as I thought it would be....I expected 480hz to be ultra clear but its just slightly smoother than 240hz. I think 1440p 360hz OLED is a way better buy at around half the price of a 480hz OLED. And I can't even get 480fps in anything other than games like Valorant...not even CS2 gets 480fps consistently with a 13900k + 4090.

I'm getting 400+ in cod with frame gen on a 4090. The FPS cap in cod is a driver issue and it reduces FPS across all games. with the most up to date driver valorant is even dropping down to 300 fps. I rolled back to v560.94 and my fps is no longer stuck at the 250 fps area. This monitor is for competitive esports players and people who want a great single player experience. Games like CS2, Overwatch, valorant, LoL, R6 Siege etc max out the refresh on this easily. as for other game like cod, if the rumors are true about the 5090 it will probably be able to push the 480hz in titles like cod. The main problem here is honestly that the Sony version is inferior to the ASUS model to all the extra features that this one lacks. I would suggest rolling back to the driver I said and try for your self. They fucked something up and broke fps and 560.94 is considered to be the last good update that wasn't causing issues.
As someone who's quit cod back when advanced warfare came out but used to play a lot before that, it's crazy to me call of duty are the slowpokes that can't update past 250 FPS lol I'm probably going for MSI's MAG OLED panel 1440p 360hz. 480hz is tempting, but I'm on 240hz IPS currently so I think I'll love the motion clarity either way, yet save like $400, more dollars than hz upgrade I'd get. And that MAG model is going for $580 which is pretty crazy to me for an OLED of those specs, but maybe something better will drop black friday, waiting to see.
Did the same thing, went with the GIGABYTE AO27Q3. Main reason was because I wanted to go glossy and see how it was as I had been on WOLED for a while. Colors are a lot nicer and the 360hz is very nice. Saved myself like 300 dollars and have a amazing refresh rate and color.
I've noticed an issue with the monitors HDR mode. It seems that in it's default HDR mode DisplayHDR when trying to calibrate the monitor in windows using the HDR calibration app the brightness cutoff is well beyond it's spec (somewhere around 2.6k lumens). When I set it to the game mode where I can change the contrast to 100 the the brightness cutoff is already apparent at the minimum setting in the calibration tool. From my experiance with lg c2 the brightness and contrast should be at 100 to get the full effect of HDR and on that monitor hdr is pretty good. Spec wise thay should be pretty similar so I'm not sure whats happening with this monitor. Did anyone else experiance this? Might have to contact support for explanation. Perhaps it's a firmware issue? (currently running latest M005)
@florentalicevlogs543 with display port i would have the screen split in the middle 2-5 times per day. With both hdmi and dp there are vertical lines in dark areas where there's any bluish tint.

one question when in 1080p mode in the dual 4k monitor, can you upscale by using amd or nvidia virtual super resolution up to a resolution higher? lets say 1440p 480hz, is that possible?
It works the same way as if you were on a native 1080p screen and upscaling an image to 4k. It does improve the clarity but there is only so much you can do.
