Thanks for the video. :) Have you been following Kinging-It's old stone cottage restoration in Scotland? They have a "shovel technique" for taking down drywall. They slide the blade of a shovel in behind the drywall; & then use the shovel handle as leverage to force the blade, & the drywall, out & away from the wall. No promises, but it might be worth a try. (I can dig up an episode # & timestamp if you'd like.) PS. Morrigan was extra-adorable this time.

Ah, raking the grass. We spent years doing it. Then, my mom hired a guy to do it every two weeks, and he doesn't rake or collect. Turns out, the grass is every bit as healthy. I know you'll get to a point where you can clip and not worry about the heavy grass sitting on your lawn. I'm so glad those walls are getting a chance to dry out and breathe! Your house will be a good one. It will return to you in spades the care you give it now. Hope you enjoy your vacation! One more week here of work, then our Thanksgiving week which many of us take off begins! Christmas will come too soon after that, but I'm ready for both! Be safe always!

I don't know if its the same in Ireland but the timber studs may be the same distance apart. The plaster board also a set thickness. Perhaps a purchase of a circular saw would be useful, the set the depth and run it up the wall and take plaster off in one sheet? A circular saw definitely a worthwhile investment for other things in future too.
That is probably the smart and easy way to do it thank you for the tip! I've finished the bedroom but I'll see about getting one to do the last few walls! ♥️

Oh God it's hard to wear full shoes at 38 degrees!! I couldn't survive in those temps! I knew I had to change the shoes, I knew I was being bold!

Lack of a cavity wall is the main problem,and no !!!foundations.
@James-rn6lo yeah I think I'm missing foundation, especially at the back of the house so that will hopefully be fixed up!

I do keep the plastic sheeting on it when morri isn't there but definitely should keep it safer! The plan is to not keep it once the renos are done

No more grass cutting 😳 please 😅 it’s soooo boring
I mean this in the least mean way but if you don't like it you dont have to watch, grass cutting is a part of what I need to do here to maintain the cottage and land, I'm showing what I'm doing every weekend that I'm here, so grass clipping is and will be a part of that so maybe this channel is not for you because there's been a lot you don't like or enjoy
@@morrigans_cottage im just giving blunt honest feedback - 5 minutes of grass cutting ? - weve seen it so many times over and over ......and instead of getting going with the renovations ( we all waited so patiently ) you announce youre going off on holiday for 2 weeks ....... more delay .......
