- I just love this song... it reminds me of the possiblites of tomorrow. Take your dream and make it a reality!
/ kellysbelly
The song was written by Richard and Robert Sherman for the Carousel of Progress, one of four attractions Walt Disney and his Imagineers developed for the 1964 New York World's Fair.
The song's optimism and enthusiasm about technological innovation reflects the themes of the attractions with which it is associated, as well as the way the Shermans perceived Walt Disney himself. Richard Sherman has been quoted as saying, "The theme song, `Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow,' had a wonderful positiveness about it. In a way, it was Walt's theme song, because he was very positive about the future. He really felt that there was a great big beautiful tomorrow shining at the end of every day."
Rest in peace Richard! Thank you and Bob for everything!
RIP to these three wonderful men.
walter disney, truley was a great man. i look up to him in fact. he had a dream, and it was to make others, come true. he doesnt deserve to be in his grave. i sometimes cry to think. and i know he would have neversmoked if he knew it was bad. he has made my dream come true and my childhood and many mores a great one. love you, walt!
RIP Richard Sherman
Walt Disney was way ahead of his time, but yet he knew how to make a dream a reality.
He is watching Universal and other companies from the great beyond; they are using many of the technologies and concepts that he envisioned.
Rest Easy Richard Sherman
This song wakes me up every morning!
Why
I miss Walt and he was long dead before I was ever born.
RIP Walt Disney and Robert Sherman.
And now Richard Sherman too
@@animation1300 I know I heard so sad but he was 95 nearly 96. Outlived them both.
Poor Richard. The only one alive. Walt Died in 1966 and didn't live to see WDW. And Robert Sherman died in 2012 (left) and Richard Sherman (middle) always probably reminisces about it
Walt disney is amazing
I guess 2 claps from Walt means get the hell out!! 👏🏼 😂
Woooaahhh goosebumps
Even Disney had to be mindful of his sponsors.
Yeah! And the funny thing is, he didn't resent his sponsors, because he admired the achievement of free enterprise in America. He actually actively sought the sponsorships not just for the money but also for the opportunity of collaborating with the firms that were making the technologies of the future a reality.
Love
WALT DISNEY!
