  • When this Jumper EZBook X3 came in, it would turn on and off every few seconds. This was happening because liquid spilled into the keyboard (where the power switch is located) was causing the power button to malfunction.
    In this video, we completely disassemble the laptop, including removing the keyboard from the top case. We then reassembly the laptop and add a UK keyboard overlay.

    Thank you very much for the video Dave, you are excellent, I have the same problem, do you happen to have the link where you bought the complete keyboard?

      Thank you! I found a German keyboard at www.cdrtd.com/ and already had a UK keyboard 'cover' from my customer's laptop (which had a US keyboard beneath the cover). It was tricky to find, as there are a few different but similar model Jumper laptops out there. Look very closely at the photos to ensure the keyboards (especially the ribbon cable and the arrow keys) are the same.

    I have a tight bolt that can't be removed 😂

    • @ComputerHelpNI
      @ComputerHelpNI  7 месяцев назад

      Oh no! Whenever that happens to me, I use my best0fitting screwdriver bit, tap it in a little, and first try turning the screw clockwise (i.e. the opposite of what you'd think) just to see if I can get it moving. Obviously the most important part is to not strip it! (Although if that happens you could use a drill or Dremel tool to remove the screwhead.)

    How did you start windows installing procedure? Its coming with win10 but is it posible to restart everything on factory state, like on first day i bougt it laptop.

      @ComputerHelpNI  7 месяцев назад +1

      If you install Windows using a bootable USB drive, you can completely overwrite the internal SSD with a 'fresh' copy of Windows. Careful: After doing this, you might need to download some drivers for the laptop, and I'm not sure how hard or easy the drivers are for this laptop.

    my battery is bloated so I disconnect the battery from the motherboard, now my problem is every time my laptop shutdown and turn on again, the system time reset to default. is this laptop doesn't have a cmos battery?

    • @ComputerHelpNI
      @ComputerHelpNI  11 месяцев назад

      No, I think it uses the main battery for the CMOS. :(

    How to reset cmos? Now my laptop ask bios password and now I can’t do nothing

    • @ComputerHelpNI
      @ComputerHelpNI  Год назад +1

      I don't understand -- Did you replace the motherboard, and the new one has a password-protected BIOS? If that's the case I don't know what you can do other than try to reprogram the CMOS, which might not be possible on that model.

      @@ComputerHelpNI The same goes for me.
      An EZ Book X3, from a classroom, and one of the students has entered an administrator and user password in the bios.
      As a result, I can't even get into windows or bios...
      Any idea?
      I've already reflashed some bios chips, but on this model, I can't even find it.

      @@krokoautoperformance Not really, other than replacing the motherboard completely. (I see a used on on eBay for around £45, if that's an option.) Sorry!

      i started it keeping F2 pressed, and as soon as the computer started unplugged the keyboard . Then i plug a usb keyboard and then it works. But of course is a pain to do this everytime. Its mostly to be able to start it and make a back up
