Don't go to Snowdon unprepared! This video shows you 10 tips for your first hike up the mountain.
We passed 3 lakes! Llyn Teyrn, Llyn Llydaw, and Glaslyn on our route.

We saw all kinds of weather and the conditions changed really fast!
We went on a busy bank holiday weekend - so this is as busy as it gets!

Top Tip ,Don't climb it on ya 50th birthday at the end of November in a red weather warning with no training for your first time 😉 It took us 9 hours to the summit and back in rain, hail and snow. Zero visibility and the path was a foot deep in water which was running up hill. Best birthday ever 🤣🤣🤣

Lovely video of my area ... thanks a lot. If I can leave a tip as a local, always use the Rhyd Ddu path. Much much easier access and parking. Always a very much quieter route. A little longer than the Miner's but not hugely steep at all, and some amazing views across Eryri and south-west along Pen Llyn and the sea. 😊👍

@@susie4886 Yes Susie, I think all the main rouites on the Snowdon range are well pathed and marked out. To start this park at the Rhyd Ddu railways station car park - it used to be £5 to park up. If you are at all apprehensive about routes though and want something a bit different - there are a couple of mountain guides up that way that would guide you safely up and down any of the Snowdon mountains. Great video and very well broken down! We absolutely love Snowdonia and keep going back. If you have the courage you must try Crib Goch!! It was scary but so awesome. More recently we went back and did the miners trail to the south ridge and it was amazing because we saw maybe like 2 people almost the entire way.. That is until we joined up with the main path headed to snowdon. Every single time we have summited Snowdon there has been a pretty intense storm on the way up. Definitely make sure you take layers and are prepared for that! Cheers!
