Sukoon | 3-Day Itinerary for North Wales | Mt Snowdon | Bangor | Llanfair | Holyhead | Solo travel

An incoming weekend and an impromptu plan later, I set out for North Wales, a place that had captured my imagination since quite some time, a place I associate with Sukoon (a state of contentment, peace and wisdom).
I sailed on the Stenaline ferry from Dublin to Holyhead, the biggest city on the West coast of Wales.
From Holyhead, I boarded a train to Bangor, the biggest city of North Wales and my abode for 3 days of fun and exploration.
Day 1, I explored the beaches and Parys Mountain, a place dating to Bronze age with rich deposits of Copper, Lead, Zinc and Silver. The landscape, with its rich hues of amalgamation is breathtaking.
I also visited a peculiar town, famed for having one of the longest names in the world.
Though difficult to pronounce, I gave it a try and interacted with a friendly local who actually demonstrated how to say it right.
Day 2, I travelled towards East to visit the Swallow Falls, an outstanding area of natural beauty. I travelled though the majestic mountains, falling in love with each passing frame through the window.
The afternoon I spent gaining some foraging lessons high up in the mountains and munching on wild berries to my heart and tummy's fill.
Had a great day in the company of nature and wilderness.
Day 3 was the big day, reaching the summit of Mt. Snowdon. I started early, decided on my ascent via Pyg and descent via Miner.
The views along the ascent are spectacular and blissful.
The weather though initially good, turned stormy with a thick blanket of mist engulfing the mountains. I kept walking through the cold and windy weather, finally reached the summit and marked my checklist as done.
Descent was comparatively easier with the weather improving. I spent some time along the lake shore, refreshed and rejuvenated.
As I made my way back, I spent some time in quiet reflection, thanking my stars for making this trip possible, grateful to my body for supporting me in all my quests and indebted to nature for all it's glorious creations.
