Having a good eye is a Jewish idiom for being generous, whereas a "bad eye" means being stingy. The context for this passage is Jesus speaking in Matthew 6 about "storing up wealth here on earth".

A literal eye that functions properly is to the body like a lighted lamp in a dark place. It enlightens the entire person. Here “eye” is used in a figurative sense.
For a literal eye to function properly, it must be able to focus on one thing. A person whose figurative eye is “focused” on the right thing (Matthew 6:33) will experience a positive effect on his whole personality.

But I think I get it better now. Because when we read the entire section of
ST. MATTHEW chapter 6 verses 19 through 24 it talks about you cannot serve two masters. So if one eye is looking one way, and your other eye is looking another way… which 1 path are you going to choose? The riches of this world? Which are temporary? Or the richness of God? Which is eternal?

It's a heart/perception issue not literal eyesight.

Right off that bat, the translation was changed again. When i first read it, it said Let thine eye be single and thy whole body be fill with light. It didn't read the lamp of what lamp?

You must ask God to forgive you! Jesus has already died for us so that we may gain his forgiveness when we ask Him. Jesus tells us to ask the Father to forgive our trespasses in Luke 11. Proverbs 28:13 says we must not conceal our sins but confess them to God. Love you

Although what you said is true and good advise he said eye as in the singular, not plural. He spiritual eye is usually closed but is in fact the eye of prophetic visionary ability. It's why the person next to you may have a vision and you don't. When it opens it fills you with blinding white light and draws your awareness in and up to view inside out through the visionary eye. Seeking to open the eye is best left to God, otherwise if you manage to, there is both good and bad in the spiritual as there is in he physical and you may not be ready for what you see. Even what God reveals van be shocking , disturbing, terrifying as warnings of what is to come but is happening by the direction of he good. Mike, you sound quite New Age with circular-spouting "wisdom" like that of a lost mystic rather than a believer in Christ that holds the Word of God as the plumb line for correctness. Common confusion by the listener is typical when the speaker is being more self/flesh than grounded in God's Word.
Please come off your elevated mountain of enlightened "wisdom", there's a real dying world in need of common sense biblical truth that is found only in Jesus Christ. And what most followers of God have not realized is that all eyes radiate to the world the inner quality of being. They radiate the inner consciousness which blesses what it sees-or shrivels it up with its own bad temper.
Study the eyes of the predators, one and all, and compare their fierce intensity with the eyes of the non-violent herb and grass eaters-there you will see the ferocity of the one and the tranquility of the other.
Everywhere, there is reciprocity of love flowing between living things-plants, insects, birds, animals, fish-and their environment. Only the predators put themselves outside this love consciousness.
