So police shouldn't stop vehicles with a PIT because it could be a pregnant driver not complying with pulling over. Got it. The stupidity has my head spinning. Because they know who is going to be a danger while refusing to pull over 🙄
The police don't need to joke around with an animal that put other lives at risk, his own passengers included. Treat the animal like the feral predator it is, with force and with pain compliance. You left a key part out of the incident involving the pregnant lady; the police car was unmarked. She should have called 911 and asked if a legit unmarked police car was stopping her. In that situation, Dispatch can confirm it's really the police or you've alerted them to an impersonator.
do you get another charge for using a cellphone while driving in the USA? Because that's the situation in many countries. No cellphone use permitted.... at all. Not even google maps. Unless you are properly parked up.
None of the comments are mentioning the pregnant woman in the SUV being exactly right. I'm glad they changed the policy. But that PIT should never have happened. Call the non emergency line and state what you're doing. You'll be okay
Not always effective. I have an out-of-state number and when I tried calling, they transferred me to my home states HP dispatch. 650 miles away…. She was speeding. Her white privilege doesn’t mean she doesn’t have to stop. She should have been thinking about that baby before she let that lead foot and entitlement get her into that situation.
Exactly. She's obviously not freaking running so I don't know why he felt the need to do that. It's 100% with an our rights to not stop for the police until we're in an area that feels safe. She did exactly what she was supposed to do.
Agreed. I saw a state trooper pull over a man on the shoulder and while questioning him this crazy drunk lady came and plowed into the safety vehicle (with orange cones already laid out).. she claimed she didn't see him and he hit her.🤦🏾♀️ Stopping on that shoulder is very dangerous and she was less than a mile from an exit with hazards and reduced speed..I don't blame her and I'm glad she got a settlement.
Wrong, that cop should have been jailed for 10 years min. If you Google the event ASP guidelines for what drivers should do when signalled to pull over, if they feel unsafe for any reason is to do exactly what pregnant lady did and to proceed to a well lit area.
@@innocent7percent she could have called their dispatch center and explained she didn't feel safe. Dispatch would relay that information to the trooper.
So the area where she was caught speeding is very easy to speed in because (at that time there was no construction but there is now) the speed limit I believe goes from 75 to 65. And honestly we don't see a lot of troopers in that particular area and rarely do people do the speed limit. I'm guilty of it myself when I have to be in that area and I'm not condoning her or my speeding just giving you an idea of what it's like on that road. I don't believe the Trooper did the wrong thing but that's just my opinion.
22:40: She did exactly what the P.D. told everybody to do "Turn on your hazard lights and stop in a safe place" the cop was just on a power trip (like they mostly are)
There were miles of empty shoulder. I'd understand your concern if there were trafficstops every quartermile, but this is just apologism towards criminals.
@@nathanlima9033 so you're saying to try and cause an accident in an uncontrolled way is better than causing an accident in a well studied, practiced and known way?
She did exactly what the police tell you to do if you don't feel safe. It's not about what any of you think. You weren't there, and you can't tell how much room there was from dash cam footage. The most telling fact here is that he didn't even give her a mile to the first exit. Not only was she right to bring a lawsuit, but they should have fired that idiot!
I have an idea…no matter what the person is pulled over for, the police should immediately place stop sticks in front of at least two tires. That would stop these people from taking off as soon as the policeman gets up to the person’s door.
Last one: Perp is trying to bail out the tailgate after the SUV has rolled over, and the cop zooms in to poke check him with the push bar. Excessive use of force anyone?

Plus, why would she wait for an unmarked car to instruct her to a safe spot when she was already doing that?
No lady, cause you're pregnant and driving with the hazards on doesn't mean you're above the law. Im sorry this happened to you, but just comply pull over rite away. @jatoviadawson6773 This is why I said, " If the officer feels it's not safe, he will instruct you to keep going until it is safe to do so!" Besides, drunk drivers usually crash into vehicles on the shoulders, be it narrow or wide, because of the tail lights, they're thinking, that's the car I was following, which is unfortunate.

Empty Highway, you're Pregnant and you do somethin So Stupid like that? Like, if it was busy, I'd understand, but if i was pregnant, there is no way in heck I'm going to keep driving on an Empty Highway when I'm getting pulled over. Idc if it's recommended to turn on your hazard lights if you want to pull over somewhere else, because if it's an empty roadway, it's an empty roadway. Idc if they said the Officer was in the wrong, they only said that because she was pregnant, if she wasn't pregnant, no-one would've said anything about it. She put herself in that situation imo and idc if anyone says otherwise to me. Empty Roadway, Pregnant, don't do somethin stupid enough to make the officer think they have to pit you because they don't know who you are in that car or why you're being stupid. It's her own fault and i don't think she deserved a settlement and i definitely don't think she should be allowed to have a kid with what she did to get into that situation. Plain and Simple.
At the time Officer Dunn flipped the pregnant woman, drivers had been instructed to slow down and put on their flashers to indicate that they were heading to a safe place to pull over. It was found that Dunn had not followed policy and in fact, had no reason to perform the PIT when he did. If you know the story before this video and poor narration and lack of mentioning important information. You wouldn't know that she was following the law (besides from speeding) and was doing what was instructed to do if you are in an unsafe area to be pulled over. So what you said is incredibly wrong.

She slowed down, put her hazards on, and got pitted. She also won her case, so what the fuck are you even talking about?
You clearly don't know wtf you are talking about and she won her case and the police changed their policy, so she was obiviously in the right.

Cops not shooting out tires endangers citizens with car chases instead.
I mean.. maybe stop for the police to protect your unborn child? No excuses for stupidity.
Not always effective. I have an out-of-state number and when I tried calling, they transferred me to my home states HP dispatch. 650 miles away…. She was speeding. Her white privilege doesn’t mean she doesn’t have to stop. She should have been thinking about that baby before she let that lead foot and entitlement get her into that situation.
don't you get in trouble for using a cellphone while driving?
You do in my country.... and many others.

Bwhahahaha he should have gotten a promotion.

@@innocent7percent If she was so concerned with her unborn child , she shouldnt have been speeding in the first place

Not in Atlanta, they don't. I can tell you from living in Georgia. Most of my life, due to the high volume of people in Atlanta who do not have insurance. The entire state is mandated to pay for uninsured. Motorist insurance, and it still doesn't do a damn thing. My husband was rear-ended, and the guy stopped and said, sorry, I don't have insurance and just like Left, and even though he had a name, a description and a tag number, there was nothing they could do. If you didn't watch the video correctly, and or heard of the story already. You would know that she was going to stop for the police officer, she just wanted to find a safe place to stop. Stopping on the shoulder on a highway is dangerous, I saw a video where a drunk woman just crashes into a person's car while they were pulled over by a cop. This is why I said, " If the officer feels it's not safe, he will instruct you to keep going until it is safe to do so!"
Besides, drunk drivers usually crash into vehicles on the shoulders, be it narrow or wide, because of the tail lights, they're thinking, that's the car I was following, which is unfortunate.
