Great day of smallmouth fishing on the new river!!!!

It’s the end of may and the river is low and clear! Decided to float the new river from narrows falls to glen Lynn and it did not disappoint!

I’ve been to the New River only once and loved it. I stayed in Rich Creek and did most of my fishing on the other side of the river by a public boat ramp with a large parking area . As a matter of fact the area that you are fishing here looks like the place I was at

One of my favorite spots! Try McCoy Falls sometime.

I’ve floated through McCoy falls once or twice but it’s been years and years. I hear great things about the river up that way!
