Since getting my first 450 BM this spring, I have been impatiently waiting for deer season…Thanks for keeping me entertained with high quality content in the meantime🦌
Now this is crazy. My girlfriends dad was showing me these rounds and I was wondering if someone has done a test with them. Now hours later watching RUclips before bed it’s in my RUclips feed. Talk about timing. Thanks WHO TEE WHOO
Thanks for sharing another great video, my Mate was a armour in the RAAF 🇦🇺and his brand new 308 bolt action was very tight so he put toothpaste on the slide action and work in till the action was smooth ,then cleaned it and oiled it and it was very smooth it use .
I started shooting the 260gr AccuTips out of my Savage 220 20ga. Liked their performance so much that when I bought a 450 Bushmaster, I had to try them. Performance has been great as well and is my preferred ammo for it. I have shot a couple into water jugs and they showed great expansion and weight retention.
I have shot five different rifles just like this one ,,all five of them shot just as good as yours Adam,,folks if you want a good deer rifle , you can’t go wrong to buy exactly what Adam has here , ammo , scope and rifle all ,,every one of the pieces are great buys.
Hey Who-Tee, I am still waiting on my 46 banish which I bought after watching your videos. Hope it gets here before deer season. Last few years I have been hunting with my ears muffs, so I can’t wait for the banish 46. Good luck this deer season.
The Leupold Freedom scope is a Best Buy…for the money they can’t be beat… just read the directions to set up for your application 😜…I own four of the series…they are pretty much Redfields since Leupold took the brand over 👍👍👍
I'd love to see deer hunting with the 500 Jeffery. Deer hunting with an elephant rifle sounds like a fun video. Not sure how many tags you have but the Dragonclaw 2 would be fun to see as well. 👍
Have a friend who, in prepping for a trip to South Africa, used a .375 H&H exclusively for a bit over a year. It worked on deer and was a hammer on the bear he took. He did use the softest tip ammo he could find for deer. He is very comfortable with the gun and SA was a very good trip.
Years ago I saw an article in a gun magazine about a round the 45 pro, the gunsmith that came up with the round was Tim LeMag. I called 411 and got his phone # and called Tim up and asked him about the 45 pro and him converting M1 garands and M14s to .338 winchester mag and converting M1 carbines to .45 mag and .50 ae. I asked him if he could convert a M1 carbine to 10mm and Tim said, I've never thought of it but if you sent me a M1 carbine I could do it.
I am not surprised. The 450 Bushmaster has shown itself to be an inherently accurate cartridge. I get four leaf clover groups with my 450 Bushmaster AR. I ave not heard anyone badmouth the 450 with respect to accuracy. Looks like you got a great deer rifle. I see backstraps in your future.
Gotta love that Ruger American, definitely some great siting in, that sled and bore sighter greatly reduces the amount of bullots needed to be in the Bullseye. It definitely needs to be on the list. I can already see a dear hanging ready for processing 😂👍👍✌️my brother, always love watching your channel, God bless you and your family.
I think I am going to use my 44 CVA hunter for opening day of "primitive". I put a NV scope on it so I can record the hunt and hang out after dark in case a pig comes in. Hoping to already be at the deer processor by dark though.🤞 I don't like the "pen tops" on those 450 BM bullets, but cannot argue with your results.👍👍🎯
This suggestion should help with your bore sight concerns.. Dial the cross hair above the barrels laser dot display. Whatever your bores center to scope center measurement is..thats your correct distance above the laser dot for quickly sighting in.
I just put a Leupold Vx-3HD cdsZL on a rifle and I absolutely love the zero lock/stop. Once zeroed it makes the adjustments for shooting different yardages a near mindless task. Although I can see why you probably don’t like it. Since it can be a little bit tedious to get zeroed since you change scopes between rifles often.
Zero stop is more hassle when you sight in for sure, but once it’s done then you don’t have to worry about loosing your zero when your stretching things out and dialing
I love boresighting by taking out the bolt and looking thru the barrel. Esp bigger bore guns you can see easily. Line up something 25-50 yrds and dial scope to the barrel picture. Works everytime
Would be interested in a gel comparison or any anecdotes on terminal ballistics of the deadliest Green Lipstick in the woods vs. the Hornady FTX (Custom/Black). At 100 the Hornady already has a 230 ft-lb advantage, and at 200 it is already a 350 ft-lb gap. But that energy lead is worth nothing if the bullet doesn’t expand or else
The .450 BM sure is a good one! Mine is on a tikka 595 action and a lothar walther barrel. Hornady brass, 300gr xtp, n120 powder and cci450 primers and this combo shoot on avarage 20mm groups @100 meters for 3 shots. I also took a moose a few years ago with this combo!
Those Leopold scopes seem to ship with zero stop issues. My son in law had the same issue with his and I know of a couple of other instances where after mounting run into the zero stop while sighting in. Not a huge deal but still? I personally like the zero stop type of scopes, lot easier to get back to your sight in settings.
That combo does look like it really likes that round. I would definitely use that setup for white tail. A .9 100 yd. Group with a .450 is about the best that you should be able expect. Nice job.
Wow I really like the performance of the Ruger American Ranch 450 Bushmaster. I have the Ruger American Ranch 5.56 with a vortex scope I can say that it is also quite accurate as well. Great video and great shooting.
Oh budd You have my family going.we love your channe Youth day here in maine is october 20.. I did not know that there were Hush hushes. That big. For the public
Enjoyed the video is always that's some dang good groups would definitely put that in the lineup maybe you could add the 6.5 Grendel love the round took two deer last year with it
I really curious about the grendel. Loved his videos on it. Awesome little round. Only thing holds me back is ammo cost. But I guess once I have enough brass, hand loading would be very easy and affordable.
For eastern US hunting, where shots are generally inside of 100 yards, do you see any advantage to a necked down cartridge over a larger caliber straight wall? I get they have high BCs, and move much faster. It just seems to me at shorter ranges a large caliber round nose is much more effective. Any thoughts?
1. Absolutely hunt with that baby. 2. Can we see an updated 7mm-08 vid? I see there’s a couple older ones but you seem much better set up now. No more laying on the ground 😆.
When you are using the bore sighting laser, how far out is the paper plate. Second question do you line up cross hairs to the laser or set it above the laser? Thanks
3x9 is plenty for hunting big game out to 400 yards. Years I have shot service rifle matches using a 03a3 or a M1 Garand out to 600 yards with a peep sight. Back in the 1960 most scope was 4x and if you wanted a long range scope for hunting you bought a 6x scope. Seen lots of game taken a great distances with hunters that had one rifle that they was intimate with. Who-tee-Who your a hell of a shot.
I have the exact scope from Leupold on my Ruger American but for the 350 legend…..and once sighted in I SWEAR its the most accurate gun I own now….well at least out to 100 yds.
For some reason I keep noticin your rotted-out bench. Haha it reminds me of the one we had at our little ranch we had an old barn it was over a hundred years old and then this old wood falling down stuff inside that we still used we had chicken coop in there and a hayloft and a place to park the work truck and stack hay bales and we had a bench that was just like that it was half rotted out with one of them pedal grinders with the big huge grinding wheel that you can sharpen your axes on and stuff. Cool videos bro
Good job dude like how you got her all dressed up for the ball really sweet dude I have the Roger American in 450 bushmaster on my to buy list along with the 350 legend
I have a American Ruger ranch 450 Bushmaster and I haven't ar450 Bushmaster Bushmaster barrel Anderson lower with a nice scope on top and by the way I got a nice scope on top Ruger American also.
impresive and i often toy with the idea of taking mine to the deer stand but cant seem to leave the 06 home. i would like to see a gel test on those bullets.tho
I’ve been looking at using a pistol for the first time for deer, have to decide which one. Desert eagle in 50ae, Colt anaconda in 44mag, or colt python 357mag.
When you measure groups do you measure from the center of one hole to the center on the other or do you measure from the outside of the hole to the outside of the other hole? Just curious how you measure as I have had this debate with people who don't agree with how I measure.
Groups are always measured center to center. If you measure outside to outside, a smaller bore size will shoot better groups than a large bore even if the CTC of the small bore is larger.this would give smaller bores an unfair advantage.
I got permission to hunt a great spot with the bow and the landowner will only allow me to rifle hunt it if I suppress my rifle. I’m not a big fan of deer hunting with a suppressed rifle. What caliber would you recommend for shooting deer suppressed at a distance of roughly 50-75 yards? I need it to be super quiet or I will have to stick with my bow. @Jason-net5gr does the 450 have the same recoil as the savage 220?

3x9x40 is perfect for 450BM ,it what I have on my AR chambered in 450. It shoots some tight groups for what it is and it’s the ultimate brush gun.
Nice shooting WTW…When you remind yourself that those groups are delivered via a 16 inch barrel length those groups are outstanding
Hey Who-Tee, I am still waiting on my 46 banish which I bought after watching your videos. Hope it gets here before deer season. Last few years I have been hunting with my ears muffs, so I can’t wait for the banish 46. Good luck this deer season.
Love the Banish 46!
Incredible group for 450bushmaster❤❤❤
Definitely! Take it. I have one to use this year in Indiana. Got tired of carrying my H&R ultimate slugger. Keep the videos coming!
The Leupold Freedom scope is a Best Buy…for the money they can’t be beat… just read the directions to set up for your application 😜…I own four of the series…they are pretty much Redfields since Leupold took the brand over 👍👍👍
Been awhile... was doing the tournament circuit... missed all you fine folks. 450 bushmaster is the bomb!
Great vid. Those 450 BM vids here on the channel gave me the bug, I need one!!!
I'd love to see deer hunting with the 500 Jeffery. Deer hunting with an elephant rifle sounds like a fun video. Not sure how many tags you have but the Dragonclaw 2 would be fun to see as well. 👍

Depends on state, but a deer hunt with a dragon claw would be really cool.

I use my 458 win mag in thick woods. Its a hammer on deer. Fantastic “brush” gun imo
@orr89rocz that's sweet bet it drops the hammer on them

@orr89rocz true, but I guarantee you the laser has paid for itself several times over saving ammo getting them sighted in.

Yes Sir. Nice grouping
I'd love to see more deer harvest video with the 450 bushmaster.
🦌🦌🦌
For several years I had the vx-1 3-9 on mine. Now that scope is on a 5.56. I have the ole night vision on the .450 now.
I had that SAME issue with that SAME scope! Took me a year to figure it out. From what I've seen online, it's a fairly common issue...
Yup
Coolest looking bullet I've ever seen
1 vote for the 6.5 Grendel on deers. Cheers!!
Ruger for the win!
My favorite combo, bought the the boy a go-wild combo
I'd like to see you test that scope out to further distances now and see if it preforms as it claims .
Wow I really like the performance of the Ruger American Ranch 450 Bushmaster. I have the Ruger American Ranch 5.56 with a vortex scope
