I wonder if anyone else is like me and most loved the pages Cat disliked, they were so beautifully outer space to me. Oh, no, as she modified them, I was dying inside. 🤣🤣🤣 Just got some NatGeo's and my Citrusolv and I'm dying to try it but it's going to rain most of the week. Ugh, I'm sitting on pins and needles, just can't do it in my small apartment, need to take it out in the alley when it finally dries up. Thanks, can't wait to try the stencils, too.
I know what you mean as I often feel that about other artists who don't like what they make, and I love it! Hopefully the rain has cleared and you have spent many happy hours in the alley making these papers!
I have heard and tried this but I like the way you remove the ink with the baby wipe...so interesting

Amazing! So what happens with magazines other than National Geographic…nothing?
I've tried this with MANY types of magazines with no success. Its something about the ink used with National Geographics that is very unique.

I love the large circle stencil you used toward the end with the paint! Could you share the brand?
Oh I wish I could. My stencils are so old that the brand is gone. However, I'm happy to share my entire stencil list if you reply with your email. Most likely the one you are looking for is on the list!
I like the added colir, but i'm afraid pages will stick together. I like the stencils. You can rub Citrasolve thru the stencil after they're dry to lift color.

You can sand the pages too! Get a sanding block and sand over the stencil on the page. It looks cool! But wear a mask!❤ that's Cat❤love you ❤😊 I'm just sanding it and I do it lightly. I have no problem 😊 🙂 👌 😊when its dry 😂😊
Wearing a mask is a great tip! Didn't know about the sanding technique either, brilliant.
I’ve tried this, but it makes the most godawful mess. The paper turns to powder that gets everywhere, and the sanding block clogs up with the powder very quickly.
@@ochervelvet9687 So sorry that this paper didn't work for you. I have to experiment quite a while with EVERY new paper I create until I get it to work the way you see me demo. I'm hoping to shorten your learning curve so you don't need to experiment as long, but I guess some more playing around with this one is in order. Question is what can you try to make this work for you?
@@catrains.artist It isn’t your demonstration I’m referring to-it’s the suggestion to use a sanding block on paper with a stencil. I tried that. The sanding made a big mess for me. I won’t do that again. But I do plan to try your suggestion. I have several Nat Geo pages I CitraSolved, and while some of them turned out great some were just meh. Those are the ones I plan to experiment on using your suggestions. Thank you.
@@ochervelvet9687 Instead of the sanding block, try wiping through the stencil with a baby wipe. This can create a similar affect.

Truly appreciate you checking this out for me. My voice didn't sync on some of my IG videos last year, and it took several weeks to figureo out to fix it, but the original videos couldn't be changed😟
There other international collage artist that use citrosol on the mat geo pages and have tried to find alternatives and have found any
Done that same, with no luck😟
