Correct, Alexi wasn't a guitar hero, Alexi was on another level or dimension, he was the guitar God of the world, no other famous guitarist will match what he created. Alexi was the best guitarist/musician that the world ever had.
@@aurynwestwield1682 depends..I was giving more less known guitarists like Erik Nelson from Vektor a thought..the dude is highly versatile and has everything..from solos to fastpaced and neckbreaking technical rhythms or Dave from Revocation. The dude's jazz influence and education is highly noticable. Alexi is a prominent choice for sure, but there's a lot more who deserve the same attention.
been a COB fan for 20 years, "celebrated" his death with friends hidden in a park while pandemic. And I really feel that THIS little piece of Internet of interview, pre-ESP deal, raw live from the guts, non-over-produced great songs and noise masterly played by 22 y.o talents AND something else we call MAGIC is the perfect Nutshell for their legacy...

IMHO he isn't the best guitar player in therms of technical side. But as a music compositor he is the only one
I mean yes, I understand that he's dead, but Alexi is FAR away from being one of the best. He's well known for sure, though.
Best for me. I love him so much
@@labermichnichtzu8003 composition wise he was like the modern day Bach...but yeah no1 can beat Buckethead
