They were 20 year old kids when the did this. Lets face it people change. Look at yourself 14 years ago, are you the same person you were then, would you still be writing thr exact same songs you did back then. COB aren't 20 year old kids anymore they all have grown and matured so its impossible for them to write another hatebreeder or follow the reaper. And Alexi is just as good as he was back then...actually he is probably better. He has 14 more years of playing under his belt. You might like what he played back in the day better than the new stuff but that doesn't mean he was a better player back then. The first 4 bodom records were my favorites buy just because they sound different now doesn't mean there worse musicians they just found there style
+Robert Zalar That's actually not true. If you don't keep up on your technique it will start to degenerate. Alexi is not a bad player but he is also not that great, I don't know if he ever was. I used to think he was amazing 15 years ago but over that time I became better and better at the instrument myself. The better you get the more you can identify another players strengths and weaknesses. His playing on the early stuff is good, his solos aren't easy to play, they require strong alternate picking ability and pretty good sweeping. There not easy to execute 100% clean but there not as crazy as I used to think. He does play very sloppy live which is excusable because its a high energy performance but he plays sloppy on many of his video demonstrations. Ultimately I like his riffs and solos early on which makes him a good musician but he is not the technician many people think he is and I'm sure he would say the same thing. If you quit working on technique you lose it although its easier to tighten it up after you become rusty. When he was young he was probably coming off his years of hard practice which could be the reason people think he played much cleaner back then. He's a working musician now who writes and tours heavily so his years of woodshedding are probably behind him.

Rest In Peace my brother! I’ll keep blasting your music!
i wish sinergy had a full concert of this quality
Needs more Janne in the video, especially during his solos.
I wish I could have seen them this era. Unfortunately, this show happened the year I was born
Best CoB live. Raw energy and force.
Unforgettable, CoB will always be in my heart!
RIP Wild Child!
What a power gig! Amazing!
I got this concert back in 2004 when i was in grade 9 and m still watching this video in 2018
So I bought this live CD back in 2008 when I was 14. That was my first time listening to Bodom. And also my first extreme metal band I discovered. Sadly I never had a chance to meet this band because I live in a country where metal is not accepted by our fake ass government. And now they split up.
CoB at their best moment: right after the release of Follow the Reaper... aaaah good memories :')
Totally the best era
This was my first cob live VCD, used to watch it repeatedly when I was 15. COB blew my mind.
I had been looking for this forever back in the days, thanks for the upload.
Thank You!
I was there when I was young and fool. Still love their music. Thank you, Alexi. RIP.
Even if Alexis Laiho's technique in Bodom's early was a tad sloppier than it was a bit later on, this is still incredibly awesome.
Definitely Bodom in their prime. RIP Alexi and Roope you were un appreciated for your contribution to this great band
RIP Alexi and thanks for your contribution to Metal community. You crafted your name on the legends list.
Rest in Peace ALexi.. Thank you for making my childhood awesome

The best video on RUclips
One of the best COBHC concerts ever!!! Epic!!!
Still such an inspiring gig to watch
I was there! Fantastic show
Live Bodom is the best-if Alexi "appears" sloppy-I totally disagree with that comment-it's because he is doing what he does best-blowing away everyone!! This video is a personal favorite-slamming set list!! \m/
they were all hot and sweaty-what a performance,I could watch this every fucking day....\m/
+SONDRA IACOBACCI I like how that turns you on..😈
one of the best shows ever recorded
I get eargasms every time when that kissing the shadows' second guitar solo kicks in
Going to see them on Friday and they will be playing oldschool Children of Bodom like in this video back then!

Perfect setlist, they were in such great shape, played even faster than studio. I wish I had seen COB at that time.
Three months before I was at the Italy's show of the same tour....was greeeaaaattt!!!!
