West Lake Ontario Bass Fishing Tournament

- We had a great time fishing on West Lake. The bite was on for most of the day and we landed around 15 Bass! Most of the fish caught throughout the day were on white swimbaits and white chatter baits. The lake seemed to be full of bass with most boats weighing in a full bag of fish. The Lake is connected to Lake Ontario/ Bay of Quinte yet we still couldn't catch a smallie. Overall a fun lake to fish and would definitely go back again.

I got a trip booked on the shore of east lake if the fishing any good there or would u recommend I drive over to west to launch my kayak?
Sorry for the late reply i missed the comment, but to answer your questions I’ve never fished east lake I’ve fished west just the one time in the tournament and the bite was on, every caught fish, not big ones but the quantity was there which made it fun. East is small and if your not catching stuff by noon you can always switch and launch at west would only take like 30mins best of luck!!

How is the bass and walleye fishing in this lake compare to hay bay or boq ? I want to rent a cottage near sandbanks park next year, thank you
hi sorry about the late reply, but its good. Definitely lots of quantity, the bass seem to be well dispersed across the lake and weren't very hard to catch. As for walleye I didn't see or catch any but saw a few boats anchored jigging for them.
