Appreciating the subtleties. Especially nage's Shoto staying vertical with their opposite hand to hold contact and guide up. Helped emphasises to me the concept of keeping uke light, and ungrounded. Loved your seminar last weekend!
Nice! Glad you enjoyed the video and found value in it, Scott. And great to hear that you loved the seminar last weekend! We really enjoyed having you guys join us. Looking forward to training together again soon!
I always try to absorb the technique. I do not believe in entering straight away in ikkyo. Most people clash this way. It is a combination of absorbing and the contradicted movement up and down of the body. Great video again. Thanks for sharing.

Glad you liked the video. 🙂🥋👍
It was hard to hear your explanation but at least I can see your spine motion. It was great to see that you are using wave through spine.
Glad you could at least gain value from watching, even though the sound isn’t perfect.
In shomen uchi ikkyo, the tori/nage is the one who initiated the shomen attack
Unfortunately it's leading but not ukemi :(
