I’ve just recently found your channel and I love it! I grew up in the country (Devon) and growing up, entertainment was rambling around and discovering ruins etc.
It was normal for my friends and I to stumble upon an abandoned Manor House.
This is perfect chill-out watching. I feel sorry for the scaredy-cats with so much time on their hands to write essays on why they think you’re wrong for doing what you do.
It’s enlightening to highlight the breadth of huge properties and land that get neglected.

    • @roywainwright5954
      @roywainwright5954 4 месяца назад +1

It doesn't look neglected ,nor abandoned ,maybe closed as what was once operating as an hotel , closed less than a year back ( hotel ) !!!
That is not a definition of abandoned by any stretch of the imagination ..
Discovering ruins and illegal trespass ,very different ..

Whilst I find these fascinating, my biggest fear is now this gorgeous mansion will be tracked down and visited be undesirables and vandals and trashed. The flies are cluster flies and build up in a matter of days. I know as I have worked in private houses like this and clean them up daily. Would love to see security stepped up now. 👍

I've deliberately not put much information in the video as not to make it easy for people.

@@VacantHaven I’m aware that you obviously love your hobby but have you ever considered just how lucky you have been so far?
If anything happens to this property YOU WILL BE DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE FOR ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING. By putting this particular property on RUclips Channel, you have just invited every ner- do-well into the front door!
This property obviously has an owner & I hope that you got permission to enter or you have been trespassing the whole time you are on the property!
I would suggest that you find out WHO OWNS THIS GRAND HOUSE & inform them of what you’ve found!
This is or rather was NOT AN HOTEL!!!!!!!
Be very careful with everything that you’ve touched because every time that you touch anything the sweat on your hands will increase the degrading of every item.
Please be careful with everything that you Touch & see & DO NOT EVER TELL ANYONE ABOUT WHAT YOU HAVE FOUND .
Also NEVER put on or try anything electrical as almost ALL OF THE CABLES will be old & unstable. You could leave a fire 🔥 smouldering in the wiring absolutely anywhere in that massive house & the whole lot could be burned down because you have not thought about anything but looking into other peoples lives.
      Please be careful guys!

I can't imagine being a cleaner in that place and having to lug cleaning equipment and a vacuum up and down all those stairs. So much to look at! I hope they plan to re-open this place now that the worst of the restrictions have been lifted because it would be a shame to let it sit and decay.

I think exploring old buildings is interesting, but this wasn't abandoned at all, it's probably got foreign owners, and someone that stays there for security. I think there's a fine line between walking around an old ruin, or entering someones home. How would you feel if someone was randomly walking around your house, laying on your bed etc, because you forgot to lock a door when you went on holiday, or down to the shop. It also encourages people to break into buildings like this. If a place is like this, why not find out who the owners are, and just ask them if you can look around. Most like to show off their home when it's like this. It's part of the joy of owning such a building, that they can show others that they own it - especially with foreign owners

absoutly loved this explore i found you by accident will def be following you this house is just amazing. loved the old basement area with the old kitchen from the old days. Have just watched a period drama and that was def where the cooks and servants would cook for the big rich family above and where they would eventually stop working and have their meals together when the owener family had been served.

They are creeping around but they got the OK to come in. The lights are on and there are expensive things there. But drama effect.

I do find this fascinating, but speaking as someone who has to respond to alarms when they go off like this, I would be absolutely terrified by what you are doing. Appreciate you're peaceful and don't take anything from the places but the poor responders...

These old homes with all their staircases and rabbit warren rooms do my head in .Not to mention all the space below the ground. They must have been a monumental task to build. Beautiful though.

I’ve seen this house on another explorers channel. It’s crazy that this mansion has just just been left like this. It’s even more amazing that the building hasn’t been squatted. If there is a security person, they are useless! Lol 😂 Beautiful house, why on earth is it just abandoned!? Crazy!

It would be illegal to squat this, as it's a residential property, not industrial, a shop or a factory.

It's NOT abandoned: it was listed for sale not so long ago for £8M and appears to be currently run as an hotel, Ston Easton, near Bath.

    That is.
Absolutely. Gorgeous on the inside of that. It's so huge. I wonder if they use it for a bed and breakfast at 1 time. With all those dining rooms and rooms it's just gorgeous. And I wonder if Casper is a pet that they buried. I enjoy watching you guys explore. It's something I would have loved. I think it's sad though. All the beautiful furniture and that just goes to waste and rats. I wish somebody would at least go in and take the stuff and put it to good use. Because it because it was totally used at one time. It just shouldn't be a waste.
