Looks to be Arts & Crafts era house especially as 1912 is on the drain pipe. The breeze block at the front is architectural vandalism. This must have been a stunning home in its heyday.
Meeting room I'd say ball room, imagine on a summer evening with a band playing at one end. Pool likely built post war or between wars, hard to say - 30's look to me. Recently in use, the plants have grown on top of the pool cover. Would have been a very gay place in its time. It is strange that the skip owner or hirer hasn't come to pick up the skip; those things are valuable. If it is not privately owned (unusual as special transport needed to take it away).
I always look forward to your videos even though it makes me nervous in case you get caught, Ed makes me laugh with his dry sense of humour when he discovers objects of interest all of you make an excellent team.👌🏴🇬🇧
I like the places you guy's find. It's always so fascinating to see what's left behind. This mansion you showed today is in a very sad condition. It must've been gorgeous in it's prime. The architecture is incredibly beautiful and unique, and the view of the country is phenomenal everywhere you look. Thank you for the wonderful tour.
Hello Alex and gang! What an amazing home. The grounds are beautiful. The “D “ on the sink is drain. Pompeye trying to help Ed see the Attic. 😅This house would have been amazing in it’s day. Such a shame this place is in such bad shape. Great video! 😊❤
Another top notch quality investigation with the best team and usual great humour and comments. This has been a great addition to this bank holiday guys! Great to see more of Ned too…he’s cool! 👍
Watching yous walk on that broken floor gave me the absolute fear 😅 Yous make a gr8 team thanks for taking us with you on this journey Stay safe guys 💙
I must say, I love Ed, he seems to be a daredevil and there are times when he has me laughing 😂 And I must I love your explorations ❤ Keep up the good work I’m rooting for ya 😊❤
Great explore guys. Very sad to see a classic building in such disrepair. The oak panelled passageway was unreal. Gotta mention that you guys sure have an uncanny knack of finding secret safes in a lot of these old buildings. Good work 👍
20:49 soda bottles were really cool. I'd love those ❤. And the cute little window😂. Maybe its to let butterflies 🦋 out😂 adorable little thing. Massive job to restore it. But certainly not impossible. That bath was huge . Beautiful doves are obviously happy there❤.what an incredible place
What a stunner of a house , it looked very old inside , the brick walls upstairs were ancient and some of the features gave it away . The holes in the garden looked like graves that had been opened as they had been liners that were quite visible . thanks for taking on a real adventure , till next time , Stuart in Canada .
Just imagine all the money spent to buy items to restore this place and never did. How sad. It would have been beautiful. Love the old light switches. I haven't seen any of these for years. All of the fireplaces are fantastic with the carved wood casements. Enjoyed video. Thank you.
WOW...!!!....Literally, WOW...!!!....😳When can I move in...? I bet the acoustics for stereo would be great in there...I can just imagine how I'd utilize that space + where my vinyl collection would go...lol...😇 Another great explore guys...😎👍👌
Very interesting house.. There are several hints that it was constructed in the Art Nouveau period that went from between about 1890 and 1910 of or the transition from that style to Art Deco.
Thanks for exploring another vacant haven with us!😁 I liked how the greenery has started taking over like on that show "Life After People." That is a wet area so I would expect more decay if it's been empty for more than a year. Great explore, wish I could see some of these in person.
Thanks as always Paul, glad you enjoyed, it's such a shame to see a property like this rot. But even if you can't get to visit these places, it's much safer watching us do it lol.
Great video! I can only imagine how beautiful it was when it was lived in. I'm sure the family had some great memories in that lovely house. Thank you for sharing this explore!
Another great look around a stunning place with some fab views from upstairs windows Not sure about those possible graves in the garden looked creepy to me
Great to see you Ed and Ned showing us around that mahoosive mansion. Hopefully someone will bring it back to its glory one day. Thanks for sharing Alex xx
Wow Guys, Just found your channel & yes I have subscribed , Loved what I have seen so far, What an amazing house and such a shame it is in such disrepair. Look forward to watching more of your video's.
First time watcher! I really enjoyed watching. I am extremely fond of historical properties. It would fun to hear an update on any records. Curious, not sure if it’s public info to know details on when the home was built owners etc. I just thought it would be so best to see if there’s any info on family that built this home.
Wow what a great explore, Tudor house with what Looks like some items that don’t look that old. Really enjoy your videos, you are always so respectful x
Hi guys, loved the explore, wonderful house, I actually think this was built in the 1920's judging by the original bath and that green tiled fireplace. The oak lined passage is wonderful, would be interesting to know why the renovations have stalled but this would be amazing if completed. Can't think why they wanted to extend the frontage, looks pretty big already. That summerhouse was pretty unique and also those grave sized holes were very curious?
Thanks Pat it looks like it has stalled for the minute, but good potential still. I honestly didn't understand the breeze blocks, maybe as a marker before demolition? And the graves, I just hope not!
Well the original rainwater hopper is cast iron and as he said i'ts dated 1812, and certainly the timberwork to the rear of the house looks late Victorian. The timbers are original mortice and tenon, peg joints so definately earlier than "1920's".
@@MrChrissy1r I agree. I noticed those details too. Plus the two Victorian era soda water dispensers in the attic. I think it was renovated in the 20s and indoor plumbing was installed as well as electrics. The light switches are very 1920. I think it was updated again over the years with newer for the time light fixtures and fire place inserts. The way the windows are positioned, interior and exterior to let in the maximum amount of light leads me to believe it was built prior to the invention of electricity.
Hi guys first time viewer I know where have I been lol but I loved this video what a beautiful manor, I'll have to watch all of your videos now stay safe guy's xx
All I could think of was that's a lot of windows to wash! 😂 It is a beauty tho. Graves were weird. I wonder what those were for. Thanks for a wonderful adventure. I'm behind in watching.
Thank you for sharing this with all of us interesting grand find here i wonder what were the gound covered holes you all found at least they are covered so no-one won't accidentally fall in or hurt themselves
Hi, this Mansion was used as a location in an italian film by Sergio Martino, starring Edwige Fenech , George Hilton, Nieves Navarro. The title is "All the colors of the dark" (1972). See the film to discover it with your eyes... Now i'd have the wish to know where it is. Can you say at least in which area it locates?
At 18: 14 you picked up the bottle and when you said warnings soda water a womans voice said get out. Good find and video guys love these old buildings.
D might be for the word drain, in the bathroom tub. Thank you for this interesting exploration. I would have loved seeing what it looked like in the day. Blessings to you all. Please stay safe. ⛲😀
I think that house was probably built in the Arts & Crafts period, when they were into beauty, nature & wood in their architecture, roughly between the late 1800’s & early 1900’s. But could possibly be the Pugin era roughly mid 1800’s when they were into gothic revival which would account for the long internal wooden hallway looking onto the garden. I’d still plump for Arts & Crafts though. The iron pipe work outside could have been added at any time, & the date on it probably either relates to when it was cast, or the date the company that made it was established. It does look like someone started doing it up at some time and then just stopped, I wonder why? It’s a beautiful house, I wish it was mine.
New to your channel. Great explores! The buttons you were pushing were light switches. Here in the US, that's the old style "tube and knob" electric wiring that had those switches.
Fantastic find guys, absolutely loved that house 👍 I think they might be going to demolish it which is such a shame as it must have been stunning and those who lived there must have been pretty rich to own that and all the land with the pool, how beautiful it must have been 😍 I'm not sure if they are graves but I know back in the early 19th century, graves were often covered by wire to stop bodysnatchers, who would often dig them up and sell them to people studying anatomy. What a gruesome thought eh 😳 Thanks guys, see you all next week 😘
Another really interesting video guys! Looking at the blocks outside and the work that had been started, i think those graves may actually be the start of some foundations diggings. Super cool house tho!
12:37 I think what you see here are the foundations of another building or fountain structure that used to be there. It would’ve been stone, there’s possible footings for pillars lined up in front of this then the L in the back is a corner, the 2 facing the other direction was the doorway, then the other front wall. There’s a massive amount of stone that looks excavated from there or perhaps was the roof towards the right of the screen. There’s a stairway leading down to it from the house as well. Also possible it’s just dug out to expose the sewer and water pipes.
Loved this explore❤you guys find some really interesting places…this must have been a beautiful home at some point & really enjoyed looking around what’s left of it👍
I've seen this house before all the alterations had started and it still had some furniture in. I can't remember who did it or how old the video was. Hope they come back to finish the work.

What. The ‘graves’?
The drainage overflow gravelled dugouts? 😂🤣😂
Looks to be Arts & Crafts era house especially as 1912 is on the drain pipe. The breeze block at the front is architectural vandalism. This must have been a stunning home in its heyday.
I love the old Arts & Crafts houses, they were all very different.
Meeting room I'd say ball room, imagine on a summer evening with a band playing at one end. Pool likely built post war or between wars, hard to say - 30's look to me. Those things that look like graves are a leach line for the house . its a drain field for the sewer system
