I have been a Bob Newhart fan since his first show. My mom would let me stay up and watch it. He was willing to let his co-stars have a bit of the spotlight. The end of Newhart was classic with Suzanne Pleshette and asking how she looked in sweaters was awesome

No-one deserves it more. Bob Newhart has always been one of my favorite comedians. He did his shows in the most ironic, iconic fashion by putting his name in the title then taking what was really more of a supporting role playing to the co-stars. Even here, his speech was brief and genuinely humble and more about the people who made it possible than it was about himself. He's 94 years old as I'm writing this. Amazing.

Not the cabin one but the Doctor Bob, the Psychiatrist. He was great then and he is now. It was awesome that the BBT gave him a guest spot. He nailed it. His banter with Jim Parsons was awesome. As was his infatuation with Penny. He truly is a National Treasure.
I never thought Newhart's guest star performance on TBBT was the best out of this category in this particular year, but I'm certainly glad this living comedy legend got the praise he deserved, let alone at that stage in his career.
