Sky Lane Why so sarcasm? chronitized asked a legit question, or maybe I wanted to take it literaly while it was a rhetorical question, and put my humble opinion in there. Why should your opinion be inferior to mine? Who am I to tell you what's funny and what's not? Why do you think she's not really laughing at this act?
johnmmxii You're missing the point. You directly implied that your opinion is a fact by not saying something like 'in my opinion" first. You said, "Maybe because this act isn't funny at all." Which implies your bewilderment and condescension toward anyone who might find this is funny - all because YOU don't. That's why 'so sarcasm'.
If I find something hilarious, I might only smile. It's pretty rare that I am choking myself with laughter, maybe if I'd been awake for like 30 hours and my brain was losing it, then I'd be out of control laughing. Also it's hard to laugh when you know everyone's looking at you, she's just trying to be part of the act, in a kind of awkward way. I agree it was fucking hilarious speech. Bewildered as to why there are comments saying this was not funny.
My favorite part of this was the bit centered around the trophy. The irony when his speech keeps centering on how he's going to look after the trophy is really funny. He also leans into the bit and takes his time awkwardly picking up the pieces of the award and glancing nervously at the busted bust as he speaks.
Will Ferrell is frickin' hilarious. First off, he BROKE the frickin statue! Then he delivers a hilarious speech. He ran marathons! TRUE! Will Ferrell cracks me up. I can only think of him running naked from Old School lol. His comment about PBS and a hundred viewers cracked me up LOLing big time! I could see Will scaling the Washington Monument. I just start laughing when I see Will Ferrell. I love that guy!
Will Ferrell. The type of man whose ridiculousness takes me far away from the seriousness of life. Because of his art, I likely upset the neighbors, bellowing laughter. A true comedian. This award is well deserved.
whats with all the jerks? if you don't think he's funny that's fine but calling him an idiot and saying the audience laugh to easy is uncalled for. he's just doing his job at making people laugh, and it is working. but if you don't like his jokes that doesn't give you the right to insult him.
He's hilarious & has a massive amount of fans. Even if you hadn't seen or heard of him before, just watching this clip would make you appreciate his down to earth, yet quirky nature/humour. He is a guru!
I fucking lost it when he tried to piece the bust back together.... Also super funny when the band started playing too early....LMAO!! Just a great routine
you know, you'd think after however many years of marriage, his wife would be used to his hijinks by now...but that look on her face after he drops the thing is pure shock.
Will's biggest asset imo is his ability to never break in character and make his character seem so real.
I don't think its all a character man :)

Sky Lane Why so sarcasm? chronitized asked a legit question, or maybe I wanted to take it literaly while it was a rhetorical question, and put my humble opinion in there. Why should your opinion be inferior to mine? If you have something to say on why his wife would only give a superficial grin to this supposedly-funny-but-sad-to-watch act, feel free to express yourself.
The stuff about his (pretend) first two wives, and then directly to Viveca were hysterical!
Will is so crazy. That Sax player was great, but we needed more Cowbell.
I thought he was gonna say "Gator don't play no shit!" again at 9:20 lol
whats with all the jerks?
if you don't think he's funny that's fine but calling him an idiot and saying the audience laugh to easy is uncalled for.
he's just doing his job at making people laugh, and it is working. but if you don't like his jokes that doesn't give you the right to insult him.
If they want to criticize I say let's see you do what he does for a living and win an award for it. Right?
people are jealous....
""And I want to thank the Kennedy Center for upholding comedy for what it truly is, an art form."
"His real name was not Mark Twain, it was Jerry GOLDMAN" 😂
IMAGINE JIM CARREY AND WILL FERRELL TOGETHER IN ONE FILM
+VIDEO OF THE DAY that's the film they play in heaven when we pass the holly gates xD ahah
would be awkward, since both have different types of comedy
Except that Carrey is'nt funny
It would cost so much money. Both are 30+ million a film these days.
Of course he is.
Ridicolous.
"The insurance game didn't work out for me so i fell back on comedy". that one got me good lol.
He's GREAT!!! I'm so happy I was able to enjoy him on his original days on SNL. He's a genius. Congratulations Will you deserve it.
DO YOU HEAR ME!? I just died :")))
+Jari Green Watch Jimmy Fallon w/him on it "Tight Pants" (You sick son of a bitch" haahhaahha)
He's hilarious & has a massive amount of fans. Even if you hadn't seen or heard of him before, just watching this clip would make you appreciate his down to earth, yet quirky nature/humour. He is a guru!
One of the best acceptance speeches I have ever heard. Totally hilarious.
"Since I was a small boy, I have thoroughly enjoyed his delicious fried chicken."
Yes too funny
The director had one job, To catch him dropping the statue and he screwed that up. Unreal.
You can see what movies Will Ferrell makes and acts because the rants are his speciality he's a legend
Big nope on this guy
"You've got a big mouth, and you like to run it." LMFAO!!!
His wife was selling it too lol he is either really smart tho to flip his whole speech
I come back to watch this every now and then. Wonderful comedy.
I fucking lost it when he tried to piece the bust back together....
Also super funny when the band started playing too early....LMAO!!
Just a great routine
They should give him a another award just for this speech
God BLESS Viveca...
For laughing through that. You have a tremendous sense of humor.
Julie you left me for Gary Bussey.... And I will never blame you for that. Ever!
This man is a living legend
you know, you'd think after however many years of marriage, his wife would be used to his hijinks by now...but that look on her face after he drops the thing is pure shock.
How can she not be surprised, and yet, how can you be married to Ferrell and not be surprised pretty much every day
His wife what a sport!!!
Jason Heilman that would not pass today... 🖕
Is that a new gender that people are identifying as now??
Will Ferrell as Mark Twain... let's make it happen Hollywood.
I've seen this like 1000 times and its still amazing
