Rick your perfect for this man!! I'm watching trying to learn i want to know how to use bread on my primary; Now I do!!! Plz keep the skewlin up! I for real watch to learn how to work on my brand new X3 I got because I watch all of you. Thanks man!! Texas love!!
Great job Rick. These videos are just plain awesome. The bread trick is something I would never had thought of and I’ve been fighting snowmobile primaries for years.
Haha you think Nick ‘forgot’ about cleaning up the bread? Nah, he is into having pets around the shop. Feeds the mice and the rats when you are not looking.
I could care less about clutches, I’m just here for Rick’s commentary and to support the channel. I don’t even own a SXS anymore, but I have a SXSBLOG t-shirt, and a SXSBLOG sticker on my truck. I love this fooking channel.
Good stuff! Respect that you guys are keeping this type of content available. I appreciate this stuff as much as the big events. Takes me back to the roots of this channel. I don’t even have an x3 and still Watched. L. Not gonna lie, I kinda miss the old garage sometimes. It felt like I was visiting a buddies garage.. don’t get me wrong, I love where you guys have taken it and how you’ve all progressed but things have changed. I look forward to more on this channel! 🍻🤟 Also have to make mention about Ricks eco boost comment on the last video.. love the mighty eco! I have one too and get the gears steady about it.
So, I spent over an hour trying to get my primary off with no luck. Hit the internet up and heard about the bread trick and saw this video. Before I know it, I'm jamming bread in my primary. It dawn's on me what I am doing and I had a sinking feeling I could be listening to a bunch of idiots. I envisioned having to drag this thing to a shop and have to explain "people on the internet told me to jam bread in there". I could picture their faces. After about 15 minutes with the bread... It popped off! Rick you are the man! Thanks!
Thanks Rick. I know of this Snap On Digital Torque wrench you speak of, and would not be pleased were mine not returned to da tool box. Great trick for the primary, no reason it would not work on the PoPo machines as well, at least that I can think of. Going to be fun to see you with the bigger turbo. Of course, this may require bigger injectors, and together they may make more mix than the stock valves can handle, which may require bigger valves....the never ending struggle of the gearhead, since the Model T.
Rick. When are you guys going to LS swap one of them? Need to see that. Would make 2jp look like a Honda. 418ci with a 88mm built bottom end an all the goods. Please do.
Good work guys keep up the good footage --- would be awesome if u guys could do an 900 xp build I'm looking at getting 1 soon would be awesome to see an older rig build 👍
Cool bread trick. I would have liked to see how the primary clutch/crankshaft taper mating surfaces looked after completing the valve lapping compound 25X procedure.
Great video. I think you’ll find a lot of the die hard side by side guys love this style content as well. Makes sense that it’s on a second channel, definitely different. BUT, can you please add some kind of profile picture for it? I sometimes overlook videos coming from this channel just because it looks like it is coming from a brand new channel.
I just put the driver's side front and back tire up on a car ramp.Squirt water in there with the water hose put some tape on that sucker.Pops off every single time water runs out.Soon as you put it back down on the floor nothing to clean up blow a little tiny air in there , dry it out
It works on pilot bearings for your clutch to when they're really suck you just keep jamming it in there and using a solid smooth drift and just keep ramming it in there like a pile driver then slowly the forces it out
How about doing a blog and telling us all about each of you and you how you met and started this channel ? Where you guys all ways gear heads? I watched a few older videos and see some cool toys in the back ground .
Great tip. I have a 18 xp 1000. Changed all suspension. Adjustable everything except upper A arms Not sure camber are what I need. Steering wheel is cocked and it drives me nuts. I’m sure I’m not the only one with this question. Can y’all give the viewers an I an idea of what is a good degree of toe and camber. Thanks guys!! Like the new and or improved channel. Keep it up.
I would really love to see a tutorial on what heavier / lighter springs do for the front and rear plus how weights on the primary affect functionality. Essentially, how to tune the stupid things! It is VooDoo Magic!
I just reach my hand in and unsnap about 6 clips to pull the cover on my XX. Unfortunately, I can't get my primary off without removing the shock so.... Gotta say.... The hotdog bun never crossed my mind! Lol
So I put less bread than full hog dog bun and my puller bolt will not go in deep enough to use bolt since I don’t get to the threads. I assume I put to much and need to pull some of the bread out. If not please advise.
I searched for the clutch cover bolts and all they have is the quick release ones no bolts. I play in the water and mud alot so I need bolts for it to seal tight. Do you still have the link to the part not just the home page?
Gotta love ricks commentary 😂😂
I’m digging the garage vids!
Agreed need more of em
This guy just wants to beat leo at the end of the day
Loving the detailed video format
I'm in for more Rick tech garage vids. Keep them coming. I want to see you tune this clutch. Film it all dude.
Makes you wonder who was frustrated and staring at their stuck primary, eating a hotdog, and was p.o.'d enough to just jam the bun in there.
Hahah, so fucking true
Lmfao
You mean drunk. Makes you wonder who was drunk enough.
Nobody....it's pure physics. I was trying to figure out a way to get silicone or something. But crap.....bread was way better

Fricking Rick always needs a bigger turbo this guy
HELL YEAH BROTHER
who doesn’t need a bigger turbo

I do the same on pilot bearings but wet paper or news paper will work great to.!!
Haha you think Nick ‘forgot’ about cleaning up the bread? Nah, he is into having pets around the shop. Feeds the mice and the rats when you are not looking.

Love the garage vids. This was a great idea. I really like the dirty side of the business.
Enjoyed it Rick, really like that type of video
Fun Fact. Rick once stone-colded the great Amish Buck by using bread as wading on his musket from 400 yds away.
Loving the second channel guys
No doug clutch? I forgot the name of the clutch he was testing at glamis a couple of years ago.
I'll take a split beam over digital anyday 👊🏼
I would really love to see a tutorial on what heavier / lighter springs do for the front and rear plus how weights on the primary affect functionality. Essentially, how to tune the stupid things! It is VooDoo Magic!
nice job Rick.. keep these videos goin!
Incredible Idea on using bread to pull the primary!
I just reach my hand in and unsnap about 6 clips to pull the cover on my XX. Unfortunately, I can't get my primary off without removing the shock so.... Gotta say.... The hotdog bun never crossed my mind! Lol
Cool trick👍 now I know who does all the work around that place😁
You can use wet news paper or cardboard to remove the clutch just the same as bread.
The tool you're using to holding the primary clutch when you was torqueing primary clutch bolt
Love the different content man
Love these videos! Good job Rich 😆
Nice video, thanks Rick.
First time I've seen the bread method on RUclips... been using it on snowmobile clutches for decades.
Appreciate ya Rick. Good video👍👍

Wet newspaper works the same as grease. Not as messy

Rick FlarIN
On 17 rzr xp4 turbo stage 4 32” tires what helix would you recommend for aggressive trail and sand rider? Progress, straight or reverse cut?

Went to my garage... i know theres no doug in there , but i was hoping maybe there was a rick. Nope no such luck
Enjoy the garage vids..ty
Big dog!!!!!! Always get my 👍
Bread. And it worked on my previously sticking clutch. Un-f'ng-real.
@SXSBlog Garage What is the stock clutch torque specs? And should the primary have a small amount of in and out play? Thanks
So I put less bread than full hog dog bun and my puller bolt will not go in deep enough to use bolt since I don’t get to the threads. I assume I put to much and need to pull some of the bread out. If not please advise.
Sheriff Rich ftw!!
