At first I was cringing over painting that granite and your kitchen cabinets were beautiful as they were I thought. But after the transformation I was thrilled with your end result. What cabinet paint color did you end up using
Hello- Thank you for this video! We have very similar granite as your original in our kitchen, and love the look of your "new" granite. A year later, are you happy with the outcome of this project? Ie, do the countertops still look good?
This seems like the simplest epoxy product I’ve watched. I want plain white countertops so I’ll skip the marbling. Is there no colored paint layer after the 2 base layers? Also has this product become yellow? Many reviews on other products state white epoxy becomes yellow
Ours is still whiter than white. The clear caulk we used turned a bit yellow though- that’s about it. Counters definitely not yellow. No colored paint layers at all. all white
Hi there! I tried the Gianni kit on my counter but the epoxy cured yellow. The company got back to me on email saying I needed to use lacquer thinner and rubbing alcohol during the prepping process but didn’t see you mention this step. Did you happen to use that during your prep?
I looked at them all. This company had such great reviews. It’s almost been 1 year and our kitchen still looks so good. I’m very pleased with how its held up! I have 4 boys under 6. Quite impressive!
Shocked by how well that turned out. Bravo!
That is the best veining job I have seen on U-tube! The entire kitchen looks amazing! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you! One error on the veining is just running the vein all the way down over the edge! One thing we forgot to do!!
@@laurennicolejones don’t tell anyone and no one will notice! It was so professionally done unlike some who overdo it!

Thank you! I chose Sherwin Williams Pure White :)
You did a phenomenal job! Gorgeous!
Your counters look gorgeous! So well done!!

Did you guys sand it before painting it?
Beautiful job… Team work makes the dream work. ❤
Thanks for sharing
Great video! Very detailed!
I’ve heard the epoxy yellows over time? I HATE my kitchen granite the previous owners installed it’s awful. I need something desperately
Does the new countertops still have the same texture as the original granite? Thinking about doing this but skeptical of how it will feel. Thanks!
It’s really smooth just like the original granite! We still love it over a year later!
How many layers of epoxy did you need?
Lovely marbeling. Will do bathroom and kitchen.
Hi Lauren!! Miss you love seeing you on your RUclips ❤ who did you use for your cabinet painting?
Thanks for watching! You know I’m sorry I cannot remember the company name….!!
Hello, how did you create the edges? 7:38
Looks beautiful...trying to convince my hubby to do it. We have ugly coral brown granite top
Do it! We are In year 2 with 4 boys under 6 and it’s held up great!
You dud a great and beautiful work !
Which product kit did you are using ?
And i suppose that you had one white epoxy layer before the gray veins ?
T
I used the Giant Marble kit- linked in description box. One layer yes
@@laurennicolejones thank you for your rompt answer,
I like too much your countertop,

How is it holding up? Also do you have to be careful with certain kinds of cleaning products? I am thinking of doing this in my kitchen…
We are about 1.5 years in and it’s holding up great. No special cleaning products- just use what you use! Good luck
Does the paint kit have strong fumes? If so, how long did it take for any odor to fully disappear? You did a great job. Your kitchen looks beautiful.
No fumes at all- completely odorless! Thank you
What did you use the clear caulk, nail polish remover, and sandpaper for?
The Gianni directions say to wait 4 hours before applying the epoxy.
WOW. Beautiful works . You guys really don't use the heat to dry it out ? I am just wondering ?
Thanks! No just air! It has stayed beautifully!
Awesome. I am going to do the same!
U only washed it with brillo? U didnt sand or anything?
We didn’t need to sand it- that is correct

Hi! I did not use lacquer or rubbing alcohol- the video shows every detail we used. I hope that you can get it right- that’s frustrating?!
Comment commander ce produit est ce que vous livrez en France merci
Did you guys need more than one kit? Your kitchen looks about the same as mine in size and I’m in the edge of maybe needing more epoxy
Just one kit! I would recommend getting some of the white primer too as extra in case of chips on the countertops. We have had a few teeny ones
Ohhhh no! I didn’t realize you changed the cabinets… I loved them before even with the white counter top… 😢
Very nice 👍
You should never use a foam roller for that process. Leaves an inferior finish .
Why getting granite if you were painting on it? I mean granite is not cheap and people get it for a reason
We bought a house with this color choice already chosen. Not our choice originally.
Looks great, did you look at any other epoxy companies, like stone coat, if so what made you choose giani?

@@laurennicolejones ok thanks, im seeing more vids of people choosing giani also. Im thinking of trying giant also.
hello great video did you just use 1 kit for the whole kitchen
@@latoyaparker43 yes only one!
