So fun fact for Stanley Parable: You can actually play the game for an X amount of hours every Tuesday until the trophy pops. So you might play 5 hours every Tuesday until the trophy pops. You can also change your Playstation internal date to 10 years to pop the super go outside throphy if you want to
The Katamari trophy on getting every item is even more difficult than shown. Yes, you have to get every item, which would normally be sorta easy... Except for the Cowbear. It's a level where if you roll up one cow OR bear item, the level is over. The Cowbear is huge and rolling over a tiny bottle of milk can end your attempt
Yup!!! I got this one in Katamari forever a few years back when finishing off the plat once and for all. The cowbear is a silent killer in that no one thinks you need it but you do! You have to roll big enough without picking any of those items up, to then KNOCK OVER the cowbear and then rush to collect him without picking anything up AND before he runs away and starts rampaging all over the map 🙃 knocking you around. Took me a few tries at that size and patience to grab him. He usually hangs out by the river and bridge (in forever) so it's a matter of waiting for him to walk by.
Yes the annoying bear was my last item when I got this - to small and it ping pongs you across the map likely hitting other bears, to big and it runs away and trying to chase it will often also be an accidental pick up of another bear :( nearly gave up several times!
I remember going to Goat Simulator for an easy platinum and then crashing and burning when I got to the flappy bird mini game. Still not got it years later 😢
Here's one I doubt many people will know/remember. Burnout Apocalypse from Days Gone. It simply says to use Nitro boost and drift on your bike at the same time for 5 seconds. Except that drifting requires correct timing of analogue stick movement at certain points to control the drift. Now imagine trying to figure that out when the timing windows are sped up because of the nitro boost. It took me about 3 hours to figure it out but I still got the trophy, and the platinum in the end.
I got that one thanks to the internet, plus the other one that said to drift for 2 minutes or so (can't remember). I just went to a parking lot and left it pressed, so I did a doughnut of sorts for 2 minutes. Lifesaver
For me it's Freeflow Gold and Freeflow 40 in Batman: Arkham Asylum. I've watched so many videos that my brain knows exactly what to do, but I just can't for the live of me get my thumbs to perform the necessary tasks.
The hardest trophy I’ve ever gotten from an easy game had to be either shooting all of the planes during the Arkean Armory level or dodging all the lasers during the undead Chaos fight, both of wich are from Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure. I don’t really remember wich one was truly harder, since I’m so many years removed from that experience now, but I do remember having to reset each level way more than any of the others in order to complete their respective challenges.
I found that Flower trophy where you have to go through that night level without getting shocked once quite stressful. Other than that the game and trophies are so easy and relaxing😌
You guys gave me flashbacks when you mentioned the Zurks. But I am relieved to say I managed to get through them eventually and Platinum Stray. I've also Platinimed both Goat and Powerwash Simulator (twice!)
In stray you have to do the zig zag technique with that trophy it took me a while because sometimes the Zerks will jump on you sometimes they won’t it’s a trial and error thing.

Thankfully Re-roll and Reverie are the same games as their originals. Not sure if I have it in me to do it. But who can say they have all available katamari platinums?
What about that trophy in Heavy Rain where you have to score a perfect drive? You have to slowly maneuver the control stick, which the game never tells you, in order to not hit incoming traffic.

For me, it's Raccoon Them Up in _LEGO The Incredibles._ You need to do nine quicktime events with IMMEDIATE responses, and which buttons you need to press gets randomised, so you can't learn a sequence. Plus, there's about two minutes of loading screens as you return to the hub and then select the relevant level again. It's the only trophy standing between me and the platinum.
The Stray one was infuriating, even when you've memorised it, sometimes they got stuck so the timing was different. Got it in the end though. Same with Goat Simulator.
The hardest trophy I can recall doing, has to be one from two friday featureas ago, that being the Challenge from the Witness. That took a couple tries to say the least.
One I haven't managed yet (I gave up a few years ago) is the one where you must feed input on advance or complex life forms in the game Flow. Very simple rules: You start as a single cell organism and must feed on other organisms to grow while not being eaten yourself by hostile organisms. Now, try that without accidentally hitting the non hostile simple organisms, which are everywhere on the screen, while also making sure to feed only on more advanced life forms. Each time you feed, you grow in length - keep that in mind as you don't want to accidentally hit simple life forms while you go for the bottom of the ocean...
I had most of these and that feels good, and one I eventually might get or give up on. I think the one that drove me the most mad though was the Katamari one. So many items.
Hey, gotta earn them all, so here's my entry for the silver trophy: Pac-Man World Re-Pac. It's all sunshine and rainbows until you start attempting the Retro Gamer trophy, which requires you to reach level 9 of the classic Pac-Man game. 🤪
I’ve done this one! I looked old Pac-Man maps and strategies to learn the optimal routes, then practiced them a few times a day until I reached level 9. It was actually really fun and satisfying as I felt my skills improve.
Not Playstation but the "Zombie Chopper" achievement from Half Life 2 really got to me. Only being able to use the gravity gun while being chased by a swarm of zombies (especially that one part when you're waiting for the elevator while a bunch of sprinters come after you) was tough
I honestly think the "Finish in less then 2 hours" trophy in Stray is worse. If you fail the cat run, you just do it again till you do because checkpoints. You fail that, you just wasted two hours of your life or more.
And then there's the trophy where you can't use the weapon backpack in the sewers where you get swarmed by enemies and the weapon makes the level a lot easier.
@@thorstenbrandt6256 I think I finished around 1 hour 40 mins on my playthrough... I followed a speedrun guide on YT. I speedran that platinum in the final hours of that game being available for PS+ last year. Both trophies were stressful but I was counting seconds in Stray. I just barely made the 2 hour mark with less than 10 minutes left I think. The other one took time and patience to master with some guides online.
Think it took me about 50 goes at that Stray trophy, got painfully frustrating but the game itself is well worth playing. Personally didn’t find Powerwash too bad either
Lol, I actually got the can't catch me trophy in Stray after not that many tries. I'm guessing under 10. What stumped me was the speed run. I got close when I had pretty much memorized the whole route and got it down to 2 hours and 7 minutes. Just 7 mins short. At that point I was exhausted because it took several tries. Then I saw a video where instead of using the intended strategies to avoid zurks/clear out their eggs you just bulldoze through them and shake them off. At some point I'll go back and give that strategy a try.
Going for the plat on Powerwash Simulator right now. Just did the Tall Order and thought that would be the hardest challenge I'd have to face. Guess I have more to look forward to.😩
That Stray trophy was frustrating....and I did it twice (PS4&5) 😂 .... but omg that Flapmaster trophy was so much worse, really had me raging, it took a while...
There are actually families you can download from the gallery in The Sims 4 that, when you visit their lots, trigger the Alphabet Legacy trophy. So someone probably already did the whole adopt-birthday-kill strategy you talked about. The game will check the family tree and see "This sim has a 26-generation family tree" and pop the trophy. This works to a lesser extent for the regular legacy trophy too.
That goat simulator trophy took me so many attempts and was beyond frustrating, but I did finally get it! Not an easy one at all and I felt justified to find it on this list, years after doing it 😅

In PSVR’s Fruit Ninja the trophy “Are you kidding me?” Trophy was a pain in the but. I kept making it harder for myself.
I have 2 of these trophies. Goat Simulator one which was infuriating and took several hours. PowerWash Simulator which wasn’t too bad once you’ve looked at online tutorials
I have got the platinum trophy in CTR and that is the hardest, yet most satisfying one I have got. Especially after a glitch caused me to lose all my progress with 8 levels left
I got Powerwash Simulator's platinum twice. God, it will be a journey all over again when the PS6 comes out.
For the Stray trophy, if you decide to zig zag through the entire section you can complete it within a few tries
1:40 your mother is breath taking. Lololol
