    Thank you so much for the feedback Nolly! I was indeed using linear phase eq, but I see/hear the side effects it's causing now. Thank you for this amazing course, and this mix review is next level. Also thank you Kohle for the excellent academy! 🖤🤘 -Max

      The pre-ringing almost sounded like the kick was getting sucked out of a vacuum before the transient

    I almost find this more useful than the full walkthroughs we get from thee channels, as it picks up on the little things that we maybe overlook or miss out on ourselves. Great concept and explanations

    Nolly could do his own AMSR and talk about expired tins of tomato soup and I'd still listen and chill.

      @@KohleAudioKult Haha so strange! You sat at a sofa with a girl in front of a second hand clothes shop, Beyond Retro, at Södermalm. I live at the same street, was on my way home..and thought to my self that..that guy looks like the Kohlekeller I follow on You tube.. What a strange and little world...Well Nice to have seen you in real life, I hope you had a nice holiday..

      @@southsidesoderlund Haha! I remember that moment. I just had a Prinsesstårta with my wife on that bench, That was right before we flew back. We were staying at a Hotel around the corner.
      I’m there quite often. Half the family lives there. 🤘❤️

    Very cool of him to do this. Just a reminder to folks new to this, his opinion and style are great but by no means don’t take his advice as “right” and other choices as wrong. It’s all a matter of taste.

    • @KohleAudioKult
      @KohleAudioKult  2 месяца назад +4

      Up to a certain point there IS a wrong and a right. Once you have a technically great mix it becomes a matter of taste

    Not sure about this… After so many years I got tired of that kick drum almost pocking as if detached form the whole mix. I could hear it in the mid 90s as well...
    To though (as a drummer) it always sounded out of the mix as if I had put my head inside the kick drum and hearing the clank of the beater.
    Yes, it is metal… lots of double kick drumming in fast tempos… I get it why it is the way it is. Yet, I do not like it anymore (not metal, just the kick).

      Oh wow! Everything you hear in this video is so an acoustic kick drum. Most Metal releases these days sound sooooo fake compared to this.
