I love the second exercise and I do it every day! I used to hear my spine cracking (which I loved haha) but now it doesn't do it any more. Working at a desk all day I really don't want to get a hunchback. I have stopped sitting like a prawn and I am happy to see that I have the same chair as you 😀 Thanks for the great tips!
thank you sooo much. I've been doing these over the past weeks and feel like a different person. random question, what is the egyptian papyrus/poster in the back?
Got those in Egypt in 1997. Copies of famous Egyptian carved scenes. Nothing to do with my channel. It's just the only room in my house that is relatively free of furniture and had a bit of light. ;)
My 72 yo mother has this condition. Need one for her level of mobility and flexibility. All-fours, supine and prone positions are just out of the question for her. Which exercise would you advise?
Unfortunately for me nothing can be done 😢. I can't afford surgery, and even if I could, they would be no. Certainly, it would work 😕 so I just have to keep doing my back workouts 🙃.
I have multilevel degenerative disc disease with compressed nerves at C3 C4, C4 C5 and C5 C6. Also have T3 T4 ,T5 T6,T6 T7 and T8 T9 disc degeneration. Severe spasms in my neck, upper back, middle back and shoulders from 10 yrs. Also have partial thickness tear in Rt shoulder supraspinatus tendon ,upper arm is sore with spasms around clavicle. Left Arm Erbs palsy since birth . Too hard for me to cope with pain and use Rt arm while cooking, dressing, making bed ,showering, etc. Wish U worked in Dorchester ,I would have visited you. Been to many surgeons had facet joint injections and epidural in the neck ,operated at C5 C6 but nothing helped. Tight muscles, spasms, knots have ruined me and the quality of my life. It is so hard to live in constant pain.
Wow, that sounds tough. Try these exercises very gently. And have a look at my Rhomboid Pain video and Pinched neck nerve video. Start really gently. Do what feels right. You might be surprised what you can. achieve
Hi! What about the inverse of this condition? I've kyphosis rectification, and so far haven't found a single video on youtube with excercises on fixing it :(
Whereabouts are you based as a chiropractor? Thanks greatly for the video. I intend to focus on your videos for now, as some physio exercises did nothing to correct what I believe is postural kyphosis. I watch my posture now also
Lol. I usually get in trouble for spending too much time explaining why. , Most people say "Just get to the exercises". So your comment is unique and refreshing. 😉

At what age did you first notice a more prominent arch in your mid back?
Like, age 14 😅

Yes, I love all the Downward Facing Dog variations. They feel great, eh? And they're the best for reducing kyphosis.

Thank you Sir
Thanks Gurgeet!
For the first exercise, does it matter when you do it? Someone told me to do it just before bed, but I usually forget 😬
Can this posture cause tailbone pain? My tailbone feels supper tucked it to the point where it hurts to walk

Can i do the exercise-2 but in 50 seconds instead of 5x 10 seconds?
Yes, you can. I just prefer 5x10 to move and mobilise the spinal joints more, but just holding the position is ok too

I'd get her to do the one with the hands on the wall, but she can put her hands higher--at head level or so.
