      And that that was the first time she'd used that technique is absolutely astounding. Christine could teach classes - and probably should for some of the people trying (and, frankly, failing) to do the same thing for movies and TV series with million dollar budgets!

    • @GSutton
      @GSutton Год назад +2

      @@PeachPlastic I'm sorry - are we living in the same timeline? Did people not "throw shade" at multimillion dollar productions like CATS and Sonic the Hedgehog over how poorly they'd digitally animated aspects of those films, and did that "shade" not result in changes made? These people make enough money to wipe away any tears on their own - they don't need you coming to bat for them, especially when they superimpose the adult face of the film's lead onto a picture of a baby and the resulting gremlin ends up making the final cut (and my nightmares.)

    What Christine is doing, is not only preserving the history of the house, but creating a literal future museum too. One day, many, many years into the future, I could imagine this becoming a place to visit, in which they'll say 'This historic house was the abode of Christine McConnell, who added her own twist over the years.' Amazing future legacy. Beautiful current home! x

    When I was at boarding school we had picture rails in the bedrooms. We weren’t allowed to hang things on the walls, but we would hang fabric and drapery from the railing with nails and affixed our teenage posters to it instead. I thought this was for practicality with all of the girls coming and going each year; I didn’t realize it was a historical element in homes. Makes sense! You did an absolutely beautiful job. I cannot begin to express the awe and wonder I have for your work. The wallpaper is a stunning, beautifully-creepy masterpiece that I hope stays in that home for generations and generations. The portrait you did of your mother, and the de-aged portraits were nothing short of a modern-day miracle that made my heart swell and my eyes tear-up. Thank you for posting this video.

    As usual you've blown me away. This room is a DREAM! And now you can tell your guests that the bed fabric has all been specially "Poofed" just for them.

    Spectacular! Every detail is so amazing; the walls, the franken furniture, the bed dressings, the re-done photographs! I especially like the one of your mom. When you say it took sooooo long to completion I believe you!

    It is always a wonderful surprise to see Christine pop up on my notification. This one was a doozy. so many little extra touches that brought that room together. I am never disappointed, but truly left in shock at the vision you have for a space, then execute that vision into a work of art!

    I can imagine snugling in that room reading HP Lovecraft. Your future guests are lucky, not just because it’s a beautiful room but that they will feel honoured and special surrounded by your craftsmanship. I always love when your videos, the process and final result and most importantly the aesthetic is out of this world.

    I fell through a five gallon pail and not realized that pvc can become brittle after some years or exposed to sun light. It hurt like crazy. I’m glad you healed and finish this project, it looks really nice. Love old victorian homes. Mine was built in 1813 and also a work in progress.

    Christine! There isnt a single episode that I miss, and on allll of the content you've put out.. The magnitude of effect is stratospheric. I have NEVER seen a space as elaborately cultivated as this one. I am a former interior designer like your mom, and Im certain you have just dazzeled her as well. Speechless.

    Absolutely breathtaking! A lot of the details are not absolutely "period" but who cares, it all works together to make an elegant and believable result. I'm so glad you are partnering with the wallpaper company, your visions are now available to those of us who are not blessed with the means to recreate them ourselves. Thank you for letting us observe the process!

    I am so blown away and just in complete amazement how you transformed this bedroom. To bring life back to a bedroom that dates as far back as 150 years is just breathtaking. The beauty that you are able to capture in your projects goes far beyond anything I’ve ever seen before and the fact that you incorporate so much of your uniqueness & authenticity into your work is just beyond extraordinary. You have a gift Christine and it truly shows in everything you do. Thank you for sharing these beautiful videos. ❤ I’m also definitely going to be checking out the owl wallpaper. I’m a huge lover of owls and the way you incorporated/stenciled them into your wallpaper was absolutely beautiful 🦉🤎
