The dress turned out gorgeous and it would be a nice inspiration for my Saree fabric 😊I’ve been keeping it in box for years and didn’t know what to do with it!

Belated happy birthday! I hope you received some lovely fabric from you to you! I’m a December baby. I appreciate you mentioning how a structured fabric would meld well with this pattern - I’m picturing sheer black silk organza sleeves. As always, your tips on technique are invaluable. Just had a thought: you could do a video with your fave fitting and construction tips e.g. I found the one about larger waist darts for a larger bust:waist ratio interesting!

Thank you! The organza idea sounds fantastic! It would really give the dress a whole new vibe 🖤

Happy Birthday! I love the fabric and, as always, this turned out gorgeous! Your tips for slight pattern modifications based on various body proportions was very much appreciated. Can’t wait to see what you make next!

Funny thing, your proportions are very similar to mine which I find handy, especially in your patterns. I bought several pieces of that type of material on clearance. I have to serge the edges because it frays like crazy. I’ve made 2 skirts so far and plan 1 more skirt and a dress out of the last 2 pieces. I love shiny stuff. 🤭🥰❤👍

This is so pretty! Is there a way to make this without the zipper?

Brilliant!! Hope you had a lovely birthday :-) Quick question, is this the same Frankie dress that you've made before but with a boat neck? I bought the pattern already and have made two dresses so far (I think we have similar proportions because it fits perfectly), just wondering how I would change the boat neck to a crew? Thanks Elisa! xx

The Frankie dress is based off the Jackie dress, which is the sleeveless one with the boat neck, you're right :)
It's a bit of a faff turning Jackie into Frankie (with a crew neck) - the proportions of the top half changed quite a bit, but you can try it by tweaking a toile and see if you get there :)

Oh my gosh, I can’t believe I confused the two. So sorry Elisa! Thank you for clarifying x
