just wanted to say thank you! I'm putting together a Princess Peach gown for a pink themed fundraiser day at my school, and this tutorial has made my job so much simpler. super easy to understand, and the basic pattern saved so much trouble for an amateur like me - you're a lifesaver!
You are a life saver! I need to make slightly puffed sleeves for my rapunzel cosplay and I was dreading it cause the last time I tried to do normal sleeves I was up till 4 am, I started at 8 PM 🥴, trying to get it to work.
This video was exactly why I needed to convert the bell sleeves on a second hand dress into more flattering puff sleeves. I've been putting off the project for a while now, because I didn't know what to do. Thank you!
You Saved my Life!!! With the Puff Sleeve filled up. I need to make a sequin extra puffy sleeve but needed to have puffy look. You saved me. I was looking for these for 2 weeks. Thank you so much.
Thank you for this!! I'm making regency dresses for my sister and I to wear to a ball and was struggling trying to figure out the sleeves! Also your voice/narration is amazing! You explained it so eloquently and it was very easy to understand!!
Not a cosplayer but needed to work out how to adjust a commercial pattern to make a puffed sleeve (otherwise the top was going to be really boring) and this was perfectly explained. Thanks so much!
Thank you so much for this tutorial!! A few months ago I was working on a Garnet from Steven universe cosplay, I looked everywhere for a more rounded puffy sleeve tutorial but could not find one. In the end the sleeves did not look puffy at all, this tutorial would have been so helpful!
cristicosplay and hey, if you ever have any content ideas you may want to run by me, please do! I’m always looking for new quality content to create :)
I’m glad I found this one to! I’m working on a Pearl cosplay, and I’ve had a really hard time finding something I can sew easily (because I’m a beginner).
I've been asked to make a dress for a little girl and her mum wants like an A line with a slightly puffed sleeve so this was very helpful, thank you. I think I'm going to go for the last option and elasticated the bottom gather because it has to be comfy.
I like the Puff at the Head style! I will try it this week. Thank you for your tutorial and resources! I am not into cospay btw, but I like vintage fashion, and I plan to add a pillow case fabric onto a sleveless shirt I got while thrifting.
All the puffs. I must be like Anne of Green Gables The puffier the sleeve, the better. Thanks for the downloadable and the instructions. This will definitely come in handy!
I was just working on something today that I could have used this for, Its a really great tutorial and I’ll have to apply it to some of my future projects. Thanks!
I’ve watched TONS of videos about puff sleeves but no one explained this like you!! You have no ideia how much you actually helped me (: Thank you thank you thank you! Cheers from Brazil!
I did the Ultra Puff for my Fizzarolli cosplay and I am beyond happy with how it turned out. Thank you very much for this tutorial as well as the pattern. The thing I was dreading to sew the most turned out so well, so really thank you😊
Omg I am soo amazed by how fantastic and competent this tutorial is, you can tell that you've put a lot of care and thought into it, it's so informative and so easy to understand, thank you! You conveyed so much knowledge in less than 6 minutes, I'm so shook O.O
This is really helpful! I will use the puff at the hem for my Sapphire cosplay as well as a few other historical gown bodices. I love full sleeves since they are very feminine and charming.

omg you are so inspiring i have been wanting to sew for cosplay for years and now i finally have the courage to start. thank you so much and i cant wait to start on my first dress.
I found this video while looking for the "proper" way to out in puff sleeves and once you started the "lazy" method I started laughing because that's exactly how I do it too. Nice to know I'm not alone.
Thank you, your video is really a great help, I'm making a cosplay costume now and I didn't know what's the difference between kind of sleeves and now I know what sleeves I need for the costume 😊
I really like the ones that gather at the bottom! I'm definitely going to use some of this knowledge for making me & my friends' princess tutu cosplays
this is a very nice tutorial! I've also seen another way of keeping the puff in your sleeve and that is by sewing an additional puffed sleeve underneath made from organza or tulle. the stiff tulle should keep your sleeve in shape :)
Thank you so much for sharing those information! It really helped me :) Now that I know (theoretically) how to sew a sleeve, I need to figure out how the rest of a blouse works :D
Is it possible to hand-sew this? I'm attempting to start my first cosplay soon(right now I'm in the "digging around for car change to fund the cosplay" phase) and I don't have a sewing machine or the money to purchase a sewing machine 😅
Thank You!! o my i feel i can do these ! your tutorials are amazing ❤️⭐️ and i DO need bell sleeves! 😊 Well, for cosplay, the filled puff was my fave, but loved all.

And I feel so much more confident about being able to get the sleeves down! My only question is: at the end you showed some examples of the sleeves on cosplays; which version was the third example (the purple with the apron)? It almost looks like a puff at the hem with maybe a slight gathering at the top but it's hard to tell with the apron and the dark fabric? It's basically exactly what I'm going for tho!
Hi! Love this tutorial for puff sleeve sewing. Btw, A friend of mine is asking if you have the pattern for the sleeves you made at 5:46? :0 Because its the perfect type of puff sleeve she is needing right now! Thank you!!
@@KirileeCosplay A follow up question from my friend~ Did you used the second method and gathered the stitch at the top and bottom of the purple maid outfit or just the bottom puff sleeve?
3:02 i do feel you should put a disclaimer about IronOn interfacing and different fabrics, namely that some fabrics have stretch and if you apply interfacing like you do, it could stretch the fabric and so distort the final look. Placing the iron on a section for a second or 2, then moving to another is the recommended method, this way you'll melt the 'glue' and avoid stretch.....but HOW can i tell Kirilee off??? i feel so bad, but it had to be done...BUT i do need puff sleeves for a project and this was very timely AS EVER with Kirilee
