Hi Janelle, imagine my surprise when you showed the vintage dress style pattern, it is the exact style pattern I used for my wedding dress in 1978. I made the dress with the large bishop sleeves and the lace bodice panel. It bought back many lovely memories of me painstakingly stitching the dress with my mother’s old singer sewing machine, as it had no zigzag stitching I did French seam throughout. I would love to see you sew the dress and as l remember it was very comfortable to wear.
Oh wow!! What are the chances! It sounds like you created a very special dress (French seams too what a dream!) 😍 Looking forward to attempting the pattern for myself x
I love watching RUclipsrs that also live in the Southern Hemisphere and are preparing for summer. Everyone else is so much into winter mood, so it’s nice to see someone preparing for warm weather. I can obviously relate waayyy better. Cheers from Brazil 🇧🇷✨
My unsolicited suggestion for the lace dress...make dress as an over dress for a few under dresses in different colors, i.e. brown, rust, golden yellow (as suits your color palette)
I wore that dress as bridesmaid to my sister's wedding in 1975 - no idea where it went after but long, ditsy florals were everywhere thanks to Laura Ashley. Very comfortable and swishy. Couldn't post the pic unfortunately.
Looking forward to seeing all of the sewing projects. Would it be possible to use the lace with another fabric to make a tiered dress or skirt (using it for alternate tiers)?
That 2nd fabric you could make a kaftan or kimono type top, or dress. This type of lace usage is also known as insertion lace from the 18th and 19th c dresses
if you combine the see-through fabric with the trim, you could gather it or make pintucks in the parts of the fabric where you don´want it to be see-through
I love it when you use vintage pattern, love the styles on those dresses. Also very curious about the green striped dress...it looked stunning on the inspiration picture. I hope you find a pattern good for it.
I think the small floral would look best with the trim as in the loefferandall too, I think the other style needs a more structured material. I also think your striped material would look better in the Bernadette Antwerp design…the beauty of the material would get lost in the pattern with so many seams… also that blouse with the lace, straight above the bust will look fantastic! I love Sunday mornings watching your channel and I still think you give the best instructions of anyone on the internet!💐
They’re all so exciting. I wish I could sew as well as you to even contemplate making them. Or some-the lacy blouse was gorgeous. Do you reckon washing your fabrics beforehand?😅
Beautiful plans!! I would like to make the sleeveless Eleanora too. Have you been tempted by the Roberts-Wood Drafters Grid dress? I feel like you might enjoy it
I like the sheer fabric and lace inserts. There is a commercial pattern reproducing Laura Ashley garments with a similar idea. You could line the skirt with a lace and fabric bodice.
Check out Grasser pattern 617. I think you would love it. It can be a summer dress or as a layering pinafore like dress over a turtleneck. I have plans to make a shorter version of it in a wool as a pinafore for the winter.

All of them🥰!!
Ooh yes! Love that idea so much!!
I support this idea
I'm most exited to see how you are going to combine the lace with that floral fabric. I think it can be so cute!
Ugh the lace top is everything!!! 😮💨🤌🏻
Whoop! I can’t wait for you to make the green striped dress, it’s stunning xxx
Hi Janelle, love all your fabric especially the beige and green, it's so pretty. Can't wait ❤
Fabulous choices of fabric and pattern, Janelle! I love the way your style and palette remains cohesive from season to season 🥰
*cries in dark Scandinavian winter*

I'd love to see you creating the long sleeve shirt with the lace tablecloth.
my suggestion as well. sooo gorgeous.
I like the idea of of using the trim to change the small print.
I’m excited to see your makes.
Thanks for the video and your exciting new projects awaiting your arrival from your fabulous trip!
A lace open long vest might be a nice idea for the lace too. All the best & have fun with making these pretty projects!
They are all fabulous ideas, Janelle. I look forward to the striped dress and the pieces that you make from the table cloth material.
Thanks Carolyn! Looking forward to getting started on these makes soon 🧡

I can't wait to see your smocked dress!!! ❤❤❤
Excited to see how these turn out! Also the top at 5:46 reminds me of a modern take on the classic Victorian lace/ribbon blouses
I love the fabric!!
Gosh, I love them all! 😮 I can't wait to see all your amazing plans come to fruition 😊
Hi Janelle your channel is so nice to watch. I absolutely adore your colour palettes! I hope you have a really good time in Europe! ❤
Aw thanks so much! That really means a lot 🧡
ooh that green striped dress looks like a kirtle! you could probably draft it the exact same way :)
❤❤❤Great fabrics. Have a safe, fun trip to Europe.

Yes! Love that idea 😍
Can't wait for your next videos!
I love them all!🧡
Exciting plans as usual 😍
My suggestion would be to make a top but elongate it to turn into a dress or to make a skirt and top set

Aw thanks so much Vikki! Your support and kind comments do not go unnoticed 🧡
All of them🥰!!

So excited for your new room. I'm guessing you'll add something to tackle the echo?
Beautiful plans!! I would like to make the sleeveless Eleanora too. Have you been tempted by the Roberts-Wood Drafters Grid dress? I feel like you might enjoy it
Oh yes! It’s been on my to make list for a while (along with all the other stunning Roberts wood patterns) 😍
Maybe a tunic in the see through fabric and you colours underneath could show through. 🤔
Have you considered making a nightie with the fine lawn fabric with the trim?

Are you going to make your vintage bridesmaid dress long or tea length?

Am I preparing for summer in the Northern Hemisphere? Not at all. Am I gonna start making things now anyway? Absolutely? 😂
