1:37, ahh 80’s hockey. When it was common place to see two full grown men go flying into a goaltender and neither the official, the other players or the broadcaster react to it.
I love seeing these superstars miss easy goals; really shows that no one is perfect. Whenever you make a mistake, dont worry about it! You arent the only one that messes up once in a while, even the pro's do too ;)
I remember when I was peewee, I had a breakaway and the goalie went the opposite way of where I was going so I had an empty net. Somehow I tripped and shot beside the net. As a hardworker, I got up fast and receive a pass for a one timer. I had an open net and fell. Shot went straight on the post. Embarrassing
Tikkanen's at 1:06 is painful when you realize that it came during a Stanley Cup Finals series where his Capitals got swept. They wound up _really_ needing that goal.
I remember that Berglund whiff. It was late in the third, Blues had a good lead and a sure win (even for the Blues), so they were in a good mood. They cut to Brian Elliot on the bench laughing at Berglund, which Darren Pang found much funnier than it actually was and lost his shit for a minute or two as he had them keep replaying it.
@@canuck2444 those two goals go in and it could’ve been a 2-2 series very quick, not saying they would’ve won it all but I think the series would’ve got closer than it did at the very least
I had to rewatch it 10 times but as he swung his stick on the initial shot he actually hit the puck again on the backhand side to deflect it out.. lmao. Watch it again and focus on his stick
The fact that Crosby, Ovi and McDavid are on this shows that this happens to literally everyone who plays hockey
and Daniel sedin
And Selanne
And Pastrnak
And Matthews
And Cody ceci
Patrik Stefan needed this video so bad. I’ve heard he watched it and he’s now a happy man.
Watching seguin miss his shot and I thought the same thing. Some where stefan is yelling like Loki from Ragnarok “THATS HOW IT FEELS!”
Absolutely agree. That play is a classic.
Pretty sure in the decade of Darkness, the Oilers best goalie was an empty net
@@gamogi7142 as an oilers fan during that entire decade, yes. The empty was
It's funny how some stick out more than others. Maybe we can get a bad goal version of this to properly heal Toskala
As much as I dislike Jack Edwards "6 by 4 and he comes up zero!" is an incredible call
"His hands broke."
Savage. Absolutely, savage.
1:37, ahh 80’s hockey. When it was common place to see two full grown men go flying into a goaltender and neither the official, the other players or the broadcaster react to it.
My favorite part is 1:32 “his hands broke” 🤣
If you listen closely at the 7:05 mark, you can hear someone say “haha!” that had me dead laughing 🤣
Sounded like elmo😂
Exactly like Nelson from the Simpsons, too
Just exactly what I needed today
HOLY SHIT ITS WES MCCAULEY
Notice me Wes!!!
1:31
“Did the stick break?
His hands broke.”
😂😂😂
If you're acting like none of these have never happened to you either:
a. Haven't played hockey long enough
b. Are lying
Or you’re a goalie and are on the other end of it like me😂
@@bren7431 The equivalent for you would be missing a dump on net

This is every beer leaguer.
But I've never played hockey. So it's never happened to me...

delta somehow continues to bring the best hockey highlight vids, love it
1:28 “Oh! And he badly miss that! Or did the stick break?”
“His _hands_ broke.” 🤣
"His hands broke" lmao
1:33 “his hands broke” 😂
this is the confidence boost i needed
really shows how difficult hockey really is, and how absolutely skilled a lot of players are. Still can happen to anyone.
As someone who follows a 2nd tier Dutch team, I see shots like this every single weekend.
Tikkanen's at 1:06 is painful when you realize that it came during a Stanley Cup Finals series where his Capitals got swept. They wound up _really_ needing that goal.
Watching this video makes me feel so much better about myself. Real confidence booster
"Unintended, but sometimes that can work for you."
« Nice shot » 🤣🤣 the fact that they all laugh right after
It’s my birthday tomorrow and this was something I didn’t know I needed Thankyou
Stepniak attempt is so goated 👏
1:12 the Esa Tikkanen call by Gary Thorne makes that miss so much better. "ESA TIKKANEN BLEW IT!!!"
“Nice shot, holy fuck” LMFAO
Those are the moments where the coaches go rage mode! 🤣🤣
Lol best and funny vid
good to see that some of the best scorers of all time can still fluff easy shots. There is hope for the rest of us 😛
As a Bruins fan I’m expecting at least 10 David Pasternak missed wide open slap shots in the slot
I remember that Berglund whiff. It was late in the third, Blues had a good lead and a sure win (even for the Blues), so they were in a good mood. They cut to Brian Elliot on the bench laughing at Berglund, which Darren Pang found much funnier than it actually was and lost his shit for a minute or two as he had them keep replaying it.
just brutal, from start to finish
This last year on a 1 on 1 I took a shot, fanned and just left the ice. I didn’t make another play that shift.
This is lerfect
If you haven’t done this yet, can you do worst effort plays?
Where’s the Patrick Stefan move that turned over to give Edmonton the goal to tie?
I’ve retired that clip, too many times I’ve used it!
I think Patrick Stefan has gotten enough for 1 lifetime. Let’s leave him alone now…
love it 😆 🤣 the worst shots history in the NHL
The one compilation my preds are on the most
i will never forget tikkanen missing the goal against Detroit
Nice
That preds one 😂
What does Smith hit at 4:20? I've watched it several times and don't see where it deflected.
his own stick moved faster than the puck and hit it again
vid idea, don't know if this already exists but : NHL worst / missed calls
Sounds interesting
some of these are embarrassing but most just happen even to the best i mean even people like crosby were in here
i need to watch a video of people scoring goals now so that this doesn’t haunt my subconscious
I feel even sorrier for Patrik Stefan now. There are tons of misses by other players and yet mostly his gets played over and over.
The fact that the Sharks are in this vid a lot 😐
Ryan strome’s shot should be in a part 2 of this video
makes me feel better about when i miss lol
Reading this title makes me think of the islanders this year…..😭
That James Neal one pisses me off so much
Suddenly I don't feel so bad about my beer league shots.
Today BUF - BOS 1.47 left in the 2nd period, open net missed by Boston player Clifton
4:21 how
New name: NHL 21 in Real life moments
I think that last clip takes the cake as the preds couldnt bring it home and the habs tied the the game later on. That is the worst by far.
I wonder how many of these are from always shooting toward the corners of the net so much it becomes a habit.
Smith on the preds shot went in
He stopped it with his own stick.
Seguin pulled a Patrick Stephan
The highlights they don’t what you to see
haven't watched yet but cody ceci's in the playoffs should be here
I should be apart of this
7:26 how the hell did Matt Cooke stay in the league for so long, my gosh
Seems like many of these guys are mad at the ads, or the fans in the other side of the glass
Who shot on the first one
that some hilarious shit
day 23 of asking for best backchecks or best deflected goals ❤️❤️
Do NHL BIggest Mistakes at the Worst Times
7:05 "HA-HA"
what did the puck hit by 4:22?
Is own stick
Did his stick break? No his hands broke lol
Hands don't get sexier than this lol
I really want to see: longest shots
Surprised this isn’t a Blues compilation.
Thrashers set the bar to high with a prodigy like Patrik Stefan they had to get ride if the franchise before they become the best dynasty ever
That James Neal miss honestly lost that series for the knights. Woulda been a completely different series had he scored honestly
Yep. Between that and Alex tuch being robbed by holtby, those two goals I feel would’ve made a different series
They won a single game in that series..kind of a stretch to think that would have changed the entire series.
@@canuck2444 those two goals go in and it could’ve been a 2-2 series very quick, not saying they would’ve won it all but I think the series would’ve got closer than it did at the very least

NHL injuries in fights
It could be me lol

I like to older clips

Why is the thumbnail The Save
Pull the Lever Kronk, wrong Leveeeeeeer !!!! In sports
Brad Marchand missed an empty netter against the pens last season
Best players miss
Some of these can be described as dumping it in around the boards on a wide open net 😂
Patrick Štefan is missing from this
Patrik Štefan was purposely left off, I’m sick of that clip.
This just shows that professional hockey player can make mistakes too
How to comment something good on something that shows the bad
Patrik Stepan, you should be embarrassed of what you just did!
In all fairness to these guys, I cant even skate so they are already doing better than me.
