Just to correct Danny Sr. there, Mohammad (peace be upon him) wasn’t pissed off at the Christians at all. He was a monotheist like them. In fact, the first person to acknowledge his prophethood was a Christian priest. He was more so displeased with the rampant idol worship in his society and tried to preach to them when the message of Islam was revealed to him.
Very good. Islam was an attempt to return to what Mohammed believed was the original faith of the prophets because Christianity had moved away from the basis of the faith.
This conversation was s ok insightful and I love your dad's way of thinking. He has such an open mind towards everything but seems to be able to recognize what is grimey or not morally right . Your dad is badass

What’s crazy is how different areas of the United States have such different belief systems. Being from the south we are always taught how terrible the northern states are and it sounds like people raised in northern states are taught the same thing about the southern states.
I think both sides of the political isle are both being purposefully misled by their own leaders to maintain the political divide. And to make sure people feel like they are doing the “right thing” by voting for who they vote for.
I’m not a religious man… but today I found something!
