So if anyone tries it I recommend using organic raisins. (I didn’t buy organic on purpose-it was what they had at Costco. 😉)
Making yeast from raisins like this is still perfectly possible, though I've always done it by keeping the raisins in the water. The addition of a small amount of sugar may be helpful if it needs a boost, but in my experience the raisins on their own are typically sufficient.

I have been using my grape yeast for 4 years now always use my yeast leftovers for next batch and yeast will survive in fridge over a year with no problem for me
This is very useful. I have yeast in my kitchen but I can see me living somewhere in the future I can’t buy it. I think the reason the grapes produced yeast much faster than the apples is that grapes had more surface area than the apples. The yeast is found in the surface of the fruit, and because the grapes have more surface they have more yeast on them, and it’s because they start with more natural yeast that they ferment faster Hope you are well in this dangerous time

Hi, your video is very informative. I am new too brewing. Glad i can refer to your great video whenever i need the starter yeast for brewing. Thanks.
Thanks 😉👍🏼🍺 keep us updated with your projects
Thank you. I use this method instead of market product for winemaking.
Spectacular 🥳 thanks for sharing your experience 👍🏼
The balloons as check values is so clever! I'm going to use balloons when fermenting soja in the future. I'll try your method of making yeast from scratch too and maybe try making and distilling ethanol and vinegar one day. It's all on the To Do List of DIY self-sufficiency projects. The kitchen is busy processing garden veg and extracting nutraceuticals from baker's/brewer's yeast right now, though. Thanks for the lesson on making yeast. :D
Keep us updated 😉👍🏼🥳
Your English accent is to die for. Very endearing. Thanx for the video. It was simple and helpful. Keep it up👍👌🥂

I've made 2 batches of Banana wine using this as the yeast in it, and everyone that has had it likes it more than store bought.thank you for the great knowledge. 👍
Thanks for sharing your experience here on the channel and with your friends 🥳
If you like send me some pictures on instagram 😉
Raisins are usually coated in sunflower oil to prevent them from drying out and becoming hard and sticking together. It has probably suffocated the yeast. :)
Thanks for the information 👍🏼
Thank you so much, will try this method, keep posting such awesome stuff!!!
Thanks 👍🏼 I will 😉 please keep sharing the videos 🤩
You just earned yourself another sub . Thanks for this helpful video
Thanks for the support and for sharing the video with friends
Thank you for thorough, complete information. Your English is excellent. Where did you learn? What part of Italy do you live? All your videos I’ve seen are super. Congratulations .
Thanks for your support
Now I am close to Torino
I learn my bad English spending times with foreigners friends 😬 and reading in English
But studying in general is not my thing 😂
Hey brother, do you wash the grapes and the containers before juicing them ?
Because I think other yeast in air can contaminate ?
So do you wash the grapes bro ?
Also I have watched all your videos I think, on my projector, you’re my favourite food RUclipsr ❤
Yes I washed them but yes yeast are everywhere 👍🏼 thanks for watching and sharing the videos 🤗
Grazie! Very good instructions 👍. Going to use this way to culture my wine yeast.
Bravo 👍🏼 keep us updated
I have learned something great today. God bless you !
Thanks 😊
I have been using my grape yeast for 4 years now always use my yeast leftovers for next batch and yeast will survive in fridge over a year with no problem for me
Spectacular 🥳
I already shared your video with my cousins who make wine. Thank you.
Love the accent too , you are a genius my friend! This is gold!
Thanks for your support 🥳👍🏼
This is very useful. I have yeast in my kitchen but I can see me living somewhere in the future I can’t buy it.
I think the reason the grapes produced yeast much faster than the apples is that grapes had more surface area than the apples. The yeast is found in the surface of the fruit, and because the grapes have more surface they have more yeast on them, and it’s because they start with more natural yeast that they ferment faster
Hope you are well in this dangerous time
🤔 interesting 🧐 could be the reason 👍🏼
Yes fine 😀 stay safe
amazing ! you showed how not be disturbed in absence of yeast. i think its better to make yeast of your own at home every time . hats off to you.
Thanks 😉👍🏼
Spectacular!! 😁😁 One question please Sir - what is the optimum temperature to grow the yeast? Thanks for making us smile!!👍👍
