Its the busiest month so far for me so i kind of finished only 1 book which is The cruel prince! And surprisingly i really really like it more than i thought it would be!
Six Crimson Cranes was fantastic! And the prequel was really great too. Other books I suggest that you might like as a result? Song of the Six Realms and the Song of Silver, Flame like Night duology. 🥰
Jamie, I found you through your Fourth Wing review video and I love all of your reviews!! I am also jealous of everyone's TBR carts!! Definitely going to read Five Broken Blades
Oh My God Jaimee!! Can we just take a moment and appreciate that how amazing Jaime is? Like she is a superwoman. She have 2 full time job, she is working out consistently, she has house to take care like all the chores and stuff and yet she can have time to read 17 books in a monthh?? Omg you’re incredibly productive and I really wanna see how can you manage your life/work/hobby balance. Cause when I read 200 pages a day, it will be the only thing that i do in the entire day! LOL! So big respectt!!!
My favorite book in June was Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson. I was kind of like you. I read Mistborn books 1 and 2 and liked the books, but didn’t love them like everyone else does. So I went into Warbreaker with very low expectations. I was blown away! The characters, story, and ending were all so good. I highly recommend this book if you want to give Brandon Sanderson another try. And it’s a standalone which is even better. Everything was wrapped up so well.
A song to Drown Rivers was already high on my list of books I wanted to read as soon as it is released but you convinced me even more! I read I hope this does not find you from the same author and LOVED IT. It convinced me that I could still like YA romances and eat it up. Can't wait for A song to Drown Rivers to be released in October!
Just for the Summer was my favorite June read. I was so invested in every character and wow it was an emotional roller coaster. I loved it! Definitely understood the YA feels. Some are so good, and others are so irritating with their brash actions and thoughts.
Seventeen books is really impressive. Seems like you had a bit of tough reading month with several books falling short of expectations. Pre-ordered A Song to Drown Rivers upon your recommendation. Added Not Another Love Song to my TBR. I hope you have a great week
The romance in B&B was like... so cute??? I kinda loved their relationship so much. But the smut was really something else. I felt like the MMC did a personality flip in those scenes lol.
I do agree with the butcher and blackbird book like i kind of dnfed that past halfway into the book. And oh wow im looking for a fantasy but not that kind of heavy plus it has dragonish vibes! so i think ill try that six crimson cranes. And oh should i tryyu other ann liang books until october??😭 I still havent tried to read books from that specific author. Like I LOVE ACOWARRRR SOOO~ Im a bit intimidated by kristin hannah's book but i would love to diversified my reads so seeing how you enjoyed reading that give me hope lol 😆
I’m normally not a fantasy girlie at all (def more into romance, contemporary, and mysteries), but I picked up Five Broken Blades because of that beautiful cover and finished it in two days! Now I’m obsessed and want to try more fantasies. Would love any recommendations! I also just picked up Six of Crows!
i read Six crimson cranes last year and thought it was one of the best ive read and after reading the sequel i actually found it better than the first but ive yet to read the prequel
I think you would enjoy The Kiss Quotient trilogy (interconnected romance trilogy) by Helen Hoang. I thought they were cute and all three had characters with autism. It was nice to see that representation.
Wow I have heard so many people talk about Butcher and Blackbird. I've been wanting to read it for a long time now but I've heard people say it's spicy I didn't know they meant 20 pages long spicy lol I'm scared I'm not going to like it now. Love your videos thanks for being honest about books.
Hi Jamie! I'm just wondering, in the book "Spells of Forgetting," when the mystery of the murder is uncovered, is it a very magical and far-fetched reveal, or does it make sense in the context of what happened?
I read 7 romance, 6 fantasy, 2 thriller, 1 lit fic, 1 historical fiction. In the summer months, I tend to gravitate towards lighter, romance reads. There’s nothing wrong with that, and I’m not sure why it’s an issue with you either way 🤷🏻♀️
What was your fav book in June?

There’s a bit of magical realism, but it wasn’t like SO out of the blue, def hints toward it!
@@jaimefok okey amma give it a try ! thanks for the reccomendation!
Is a Song to Drown Rivers a standalone or did it end with the possibility of a sequel?
standalone!
I really want to try cosy mysteries, but haven’t found where to start
IDK what really makes a cozy mystery but I get cozy vibes reading Adrienne young!
Is six crimson cranes based on the brothers Grimm story The Six Swans?
It is, yeah!
I’m reading now it ends with us by Colleen Hoover it is good so far . Have u read it yet ?
I read it a while ago!
Have you read the Percy Jackson books? Or is not your type
I feel like I missed the hype on those! For some reason, I never read them and now I feel like it's too late haha
@@jaimefok it's not too late, I started reading the series a few weeks ago and I'm on the third book right now it's so captivating
