You seem to have to fix so many complex problems,, it's nice to see you get an easy one (for a man of your capabilities). Explaining about the risk factor of repairing expensive laptops typifies your honest and transparent professionalism. My respect for you increases with every video.
Hi Sorin, I’m one of your subscribers and really appreciate your content. I was wondering if you could make a video explaining how the battery voltage works in a laptop. For example, could you show what voltage is present and how it changes during charging? It would also be helpful if you could explain the purpose of the wires and cover some basic troubleshooting tips. Similarly, it would be great if you could do a video about the screen connector, such as identifying where the backlight pins are and explaining other key details. A video like this would be incredibly helpful. Thank you!
Today here in the US we celebrate Thanksgiving. Families share a delicious throwback to the Pilgrims meal they shared with the American Indians. Or so that is how it is taught to us in school. Whatever, it's a nice family meal together especially when family members have moved away. I cherish this family time together. So today enjoy a meal and give thanks for what you have. Peace to all....Greg.😊😊
lmao I had a laptop that I abandoned from like 2019 becaue it had no screen backlight anymore, it seems like the only problem it had was the cable somehow disconnected somewhere, I fucking fixed it today lmao with the old cable :)))
The fuse melts and cuts power in abnormal cases not in normal cases. That's why its current rating is higher than the normal current draw. If the current rating is exactly the same as the normal current then it will always blow up. Apparently you are the one who don't know what you are talking about.
The point was if your choice is an orange or an apple - why suggest a banana? If we're talking "better" then maybe just replace it like for like rather than a third thing.
I have the same laptop, but the 14 inch version. A bunch of people are getting their motherboard fried when they try to remove the battery connector because of that metal clip, it looks like it's a really poor design by Asus.
The edited videos are awfull and jumping around. I long for the days when Sorin just uploaded unedited videos with even his phonecalls in it ! Sorry give me one minute !
It's like 5 bucks gets you a box of these fuses. Thing here is that a wire does not sell as high as an actual fuse. Customer can file a charge back for example, if it's credit card payment, or come back and demand some money back, because wire was used instead of fuse.
I have worked with kitchen equipment for most of my life, now retired. An electric grill manufacturer uses a low melt solder washer as a high temp safety. They easily could have used an electronic or mechanical device.....but no, a solder washer and a spring which deactivates a micro switch. The grill cost is around $3,000USD. So it's not cheap. Just something to think about😊

Hot Glue is amazing - my colleagues laugh at me when I use it on some repairs but it's such a simple thing that can fix/resolve so many issues!!
Finally a proper calibrated wire comes into play 😅
Dodgy Sorin is the teacher to people like me. Sometimes getting a replacement component is not easy
Going extra mile because this was easy fix was very good.
Well done,sir👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
i'm from indonesia🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩
I learned a lot from you sir, thank you with your educative videos

Unstoppable Sorin, which have no sleep 😅
Good repair one
Another nice repair Sorin.
Paul, USA!!!
Very Helpful..Thanks so much!
Always a pleasur to watch u work , lov3 it thx
That's a proper calibrated table
Waiting for the moment of "there is pictureeee" saying as SORIN, always good job. 💯💯👌
Now I know how to *bypass* the backlight fuse... 😁
Good job mate 👏
hello Sorin. nice job!!! One question: I saw in the video at minute 5:48 a cracked cap or inductor(upper middle screen). Is it cracked or just dirty?
That is a nice calibrating knife.

🎉 Very nice! Family is everything
Thanks for your video.
. thanks man
Proper calibrated wire 😮😂🎉❤
Proper calibrated fuse wire.
So no small pieces of Tesa tape to hold that screen in but instead 2 types of glue?
At least they are easily removable glue 😊
I wonder what the customer thinks of Sorin's fuse ,like me what a bodge 😀
Good job
Nice one sir...
thank you master sorin and advice
Just for curiosity, but is a fuse that expensive to make more affordable a cable instead ?
Dobra robota i dziękuję za cenną wiedzę .
lmao I had a laptop that I abandoned from like 2019 becaue it had no screen backlight anymore, it seems like the only problem it had was the cable somehow disconnected somewhere, I fucking fixed it today lmao with the old cable :)))
Mr. Sorin this is a proper calibrated wire equal to pizza :)
Perfect
Nice idea but I prefer replacing that fuse anyway.
@@NaN_INF he will replace it on another video, don't worry ;)
you have no idea of the current rating so its pointless
The fuse marking is Q which is a 10A fuse. I am not a fan of omitting fuses and capacitors. They are there for a reason.
@@NaN_INF 10A for a 19v screen power rail? that's 190watts... a deskop monitor draws 30watts 🤣 u have no idea what you're talking about

4:50 - Nooooooooooooooooooooooo! a 0 ohm resistor would have been better.
Well, a fuse would have been "better"....
A 0 ohm resistor IS a fuse. You should look up what a fuse really is. 🥴🤦🏻
The point was if your choice is an orange or an apple - why suggest a banana?
If we're talking "better" then maybe just replace it like for like rather than a third thing.
hey sorin try to have some spleep😁
All we need is "proper calibrated wire." 😁
"Proper calibrated incision!!!"
I have the same laptop, but the 14 inch version.

Neața !
Can i have your experience and knowledge for 1 hour so i can fix my laptop? LOL
How to "replace" a fuse hahahahaha. Nice :D
Hello🤝good job 👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👋👋👋👋👋
it's funny how b7000 is Transparent and T7000 is black . Bdw when it turns green like yours 10:10 you know it's aged and it's thickening ....
The edited videos are awfull and jumping around. I long for the days when Sorin just uploaded unedited videos with even his phonecalls in it ! Sorry give me one minute !
Neverreplace the screen without unplugging the battery first. Should be written on every new screen!
are fuses really that expensive to buy rather than using a proper calibrated fuse?
Friend I no answer for me
We have pizza!

You're mental.
Jumper wire instead fuse ??? Bad bad bad
Bad for newbie like you not sorin hes professional technician.
Look at 99 % of fuses they are all just wire's they are just encased in a tube or or some other shape, but inside, it's still just a wire 👍
fuse is still a wire :D

It's more than just a wire It's a precisely calibrated fuse
Using jumper wire not bae at all.. no need to pretend to be scientist in these comment section and describe how bad that jumper wire..
Hahahaha ok mate thanks for your expertise on that lol
You never explain what you do when you fix things
