Here is my issue, the turbos. With a twin turbo how much does that cost to repair at 125Kmile? $5 or $6k+ or more? Then at what point does that extra compression trash the engine - especially if you tow? would that be $150k? Not sure, but at a reduced $45k or so priced truck that won't make 125k miles before major engine work is a tough thing to swallow. It's not just Toyota with this issue, GM/Ram/Ford. Maybe it's me, but I've worked hard for my money and these trucks with turbos just seem to be another issue that'll hit my wallet in 3 -4 yrs. I've seen Ram 2500's with a 6.4L Hemi from $48k - $60k in SW Fl (4x4) and if I was in the market I might look there first. BTW, the RAM 1500 trucks are Car and Driver trucks of the year for 2024 and 2025. Knowing Toyota will never turn the clock back to V8's, does anyone else have an issue with turbos?
Should you buy? Short answer is No, long answer is No, not until Toyota brings back legendary reliability/durability, gets rid of the mini engines with turbos and brings back the proper V8's and V6's

@komaru20 again. You don't get to just call and say i want 10k off. You have to learn to negotiate. Nothing good come free or easy. Good deals are included. And yes there are many that will do 10k off. Now it's up to ypu if you want to learn to negotiate or not to get those deals. The dealers hope ypu dont.

You are talking $10,000 dollar deals🤔But in reality the Dealers are not🤨 These deals will never be realized if a Trade In is brought into the situation. Even $ 10,000 off is not enough for me to purchase a Tundra that is inferior to my current Gen 2 limited. No V8 No Deal. Making a truck cheaper and asking for more money is ridiculous.🤨
I love all the people in the comments s%$ing on these trucks that clearly don't own one and more importantly, cannot afford one. These new Tundra's are epic; just go drive one to see what I'm talking about. The engine is smooth and powerful, they look wicked (personal preference), I've personally had no issues with them aside from my battery dying at -40 degrees C. I own two of them (Captstone and 1794) and love them both. I made my decision based on what I believed (after driving all the 1/2 tons) was the best truck out there. Fords, GMCs, Dodges are dog S%$# in comparison and are having way more issues than the Tundra. People are funny...
Does the 24sequoia have the same engine as 24 tundra? My neighbors 24 Sequioa with 5k miles threw a rod and made a window in the crankcase going down hill with a small trailer light load.
Why are you promoting a subpar truck that you yourself won’t buy? So what’s the discount 3 to 4 thousand off, that TRD off-road will now be 50,000 dollars, that’s ZR2 level pricing.
I love all trucks. I would not buy 90% of the trucks out there. But it's my job to inform people of news, info, deals etc. And if they want a new tacoma (many do) this video is to help them.
Gotta say, I wouldn’t buy either one. Two reasons. Lack of trust in the brand and the fact that they are nothing more than expensive garbage. If they were built in Japan, perhaps it would be more palatable but 60k is lunacy.
@@Jason-Samko Jason, I know the new safety technology and flashy 20” in dash Navi systems are cool, but really they need to focus on making affordable AND reliable vehicles again. With the new requirements handed down regarding emissions and whatnot, I don’t know if thats even possible anymore.
IMHO you don't have clue as to what your talking about. The problems have not been resolved yet. As sure as cold poo in a dead dog, the 2024 Tundra's will joint the list of safety recalls for engines. The only reason they have not recalled the 2024 model Tundra yet is because they would have no full size pickup's to sell IMHO. Active engine safety recall means the trucks can't be sold until fixed.
@@Jason-Samko I know a few brokers in California, they work with fleet managers and no matter what they won't go down over $5000. I'm asking you if you have an actual proof of someone getting 10k knocked out from the MSRP. If you don't have any proof of this, you shouldn't be talking as if this was true. I mentioned your story to the brokers, they all told me to show them the proof.
@komaru20 it's this simple. Believe it or don't. That's your choice. Yes I have proof yes I do this every year. No I'm not going to share it with the general public. I show it all in my course for those people thst pay for it. But believe it or don't is your choice. And 10k off a truck right now is pretty dang easy. Just loom at the comments on my video with the thumbnail "you can't so I can't " dozens of comments in there by people getting 10-20k off.
@@Jason-Samko I get what you're saying.
The 24s are blowing up
Yup... this guy is a moron

@Jason-Samko ok. These lease deals on tundra had me looking
Mine came with a michelin but i bought 35 inch At4W
Outstanding tires! Love the falkens
New complaints every week,not fixed
This truck is not worth more than $50k for highest trim. None of those overpriced trucks are. Fortunately I won't be buying ANY Toyota in nearest future so I'm ok with their trucks being even $100k for base trim.
Simple answer is don't buy any vehicle made by Toyota. It's just a waste of money
They will get you on your trade-in. They make the most on your trade-in and give you next to nothing.
@@mikeb6386 yep always better to see yourself than trade in if you can
2:02 lmao Get em!
@gaurd3 the tire thing gets on my nerves..lol
@@Jason-Samko Me too! How can they sell at such a high price and not even give you a decent tire!
Not spending over 45K on a truck
So they are selling well but are hard to move... you make no sense whatsoever dude... go get another booster.
That's exactly what I mean. Sorry you are not following
Toyota has fixed nothing. The new ones still have engine issues.
Waiting for the redesign of the front end. Butt ugly, seriously who thought that looked good and put it in production. Pass a
Not buying a truck who's rear bumper has no place to step on to get into the bed , come on engineers get with it !
Or, save $35k and keep my 2017?
Yes.
Dude just bought a limited with trd pano and lift for 62k. Lol
2025
Simple solution ... buy a Ford, Ram or Chevy. Ram is discounting the most. They're certainly more reliable then the Tundra now.
Agree, Toyota treats your customers like shit it’s unacceptable.
I don't know have you been paying attention to Stellantis these days? I wouldn't be real quick to put any faith in them either.
Rumor has it the 2024’s are due to be engine recalled as well 😮!
I saw that. Expected it. I bet its for the early made 2024s. But we dont know for sure yet. But expected it.
Does the 24sequoia have the same engine as 24 tundra? My neighbors 24 Sequioa with 5k miles threw a rod and made a window in the crankcase going down hill with a small trailer light load.
@@Wakeupdud3 yes same motor
True True
Glad you enjoyed it.
The competition for ugliest truck ever made is very intense.
Si you have to learn to negotiate in order to get 10k discount? That’s a joke right???
Still to much no thanks good bye toyota 😂😂😂
You aint getting 10k off of any Tundra period. They are giving 5000 off top.
@@rke1987 will see when I make the tundra deals video in a day or 2. But I'm pretty dang confident 10k easy peasy
I'd rather have Tina's 4runner!
@jameshurd4815 I'm not a fan of the tundra either, or the new 2025 4 runner. Bit love the old 4 runner!
Are many of these negative comments from 16 year olds who still live at home?
@curtthrasher870 or 35 year old that still live at home and tell girls at the bar "my parents live with me"😂
Gotta say, I wouldn’t buy either one. Two reasons. Lack of trust in the brand and the fact that they are nothing more than expensive garbage. If they were built in Japan, perhaps it would be more palatable but 60k is lunacy.
Many feel the same
@@Jason-Samko Jason, I know the new safety technology and flashy 20” in dash Navi systems are cool, but really they need to focus on making affordable AND reliable vehicles again. With the new requirements handed down regarding emissions and whatnot, I don’t know if thats even possible anymore.
@@robertf3340 agree
No mor.e Toyotas ,Ford trucks are better no motor problems
Get a 2025!
I'm going to predict that my view on this subject will be correct! A fool and his money will soon part!
No clue ay?😂
@@Jason-Samko You will see!
@wayneanderson991 i have zero worries as I would never buy one. But many people are And many people want to. My goal in this video was to help them get the most for their money. I've heard your comments on every brand there is. Anytime I make a gord video all the ford haters come out, when I make a nissan video all the nissan haters come out, toyota, chevy, heep, ram...all the same. Normal I just ignore stuff like this because it's wast so much of my rime to keep reading them
C’mon now. Jason, this video seems like a little help to push the product for the dealership.
Also….$50+K to gamble? How did they fix it? They didn’t. They are replacing the entire engine. That means they don’t even know what went wrong. Same thing can happen to the replaced engine because they don’t know whats wrong with the bloody thing!!! Omg. Toyota screwed up by changing their focus from reliability to money grab and mediocre product. 0:06 Toyota these days is no more reliable than any other brand out there. Actually, probably worse. All is left is just an empty Toyota name. And I am not willing to pay $50+K for empty name. I’ll hang on to my 20yr old 5.9L cummins that I got for $34K otd at that time. Runs like new. And Toyota is wants almost 60K for that tundra crap. Unbelievable! Toyota got rid of everything that was good!…i just don’t get it.

Toyota is overpriced for inferior quality trucks. They used to be a solid offering but Greed and crappy dealers ruined the reputation.

Who is this guy trying to bs? These trucks are absolute trash. I wouldn’t pay $25k for 1 of these trucks. I’d buy a 2015 to 2020 5.7 with low mileage all day before I spent $1 on these crappers.
